HullWe're a relatively new company - quickly gaining a reputation in theatre circles for producing high quality drama and musical theatre in the UK. We pride ourselves on not settling for second best - and giving audiences a night to remember. We love a challenge - and hate "safe" and "predictable" theatre. With the finest performers, the most sought after technical team and our artistic director Jonathan Parker - we strive for perfection. What have we done? It all started with a production of the musical "Witches of Eastwick" which received much critical acclaim. We then visited the Edinburgh Festival with a drama about writer Jack Kerouac which received 4 stars in The Scotsman. Our last major production was "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" in October 2009. How can I get involved? We're always on the look out for new performers and technical staff - and would love you to get in touch. Auditions are held on a regular basis. oneoffhull@gmail.com |

Otley, West YorkshireEmail: otleycommunityplayers@googlemail.com New members (aged 16 and over) are always welcome at OCP - whether you fancy having a go at acting, lighting, music, writing, stage management, prop design and manufacture, costumes, or just helping out in general. We're also often looking for experienced directors who we can learn from. There is no annual members subscription, but everyone involved in a production pays a subscription towards the cost of that production. We usually perform two plays a year: in summer and one around Otley Victorian Fayre in early December. We're organised on an informal basis: everyone can have a say in which plays we perform. We're keen on performing original material written specially for OCP by local writers or by writers from within our group. There are no auditions for actors. If you'd like to have a go at acting then we'll support you. |

Cowling, West YorkshirePinnacle Productions is Cowling’s very own amateur dramatic group. It was named after Cowling’s famous Wainman’s Pinnacle and was formed back in 1998. Since then the group has performed many plays, pantomimes and short sketches in and around the village. Pinnacle Productions is always looking for new members – and not just for acting! If you fancy meeting new friends, learning about the theatre, working back stage, making props, costumes, scenery or helping with lighting or sound or simply supporting the productions, Pinnacle Productions would love to hear from you. If you think you would like to come along and see what Pinnacle Productions do, please find out more by contacting us. You will be made most welcome, and there is no obligation to join, just come along and see if you like it. Pinnacle Productions can only thrive if it’s supported by those who live here, either by joining the ranks or by coming along to the performances. There are also many social events in Pinnacle Productions’ calendar – from theatre trips, seaside trips, garden parties, an annual village quiz to regular play readings and social gatherings.
