EghamOpera Holloway was set up in 2009 in order to give young artists the opportunity to perform in their first operas at the early stages of their careers, and to present accessible performances to students and the public alike. The group are currently based at Royal Holloway University which has a reputation for fine singers and the company offers them a safe vocal environment to gain valuable experience in the world of opera. As part of the company singers attend workshops run by professionals and are given concert opportunities to raise money for the next production alongside their rehearsal schedule. Opera Holloway's initiative is also to bring opera to audiences who would not usually go to see an opera or are not able to. One of the latest initiatives is to run school workshops where children spend a day with the company acting and singing in preparation for a concert ... For any more information about the group, tickets, workshops or productions, please don\’t hesitate to contact us, we’ll respond as quickly as possible. Contact operaholloway@gmail.com |

OttershawWe are an friendly, amateur, community-based drama group based in Ottershaw, Surrey since 1963. Our emphasis is on comedies and straight plays, rather than musicals, though we have been known to break our own rule sometimes. Currently we perform two major shows a year at the Rhoda McGaw Theatre in Woking, along with smaller shows locally in our village hall, Brook Hall. Each Christmas we will do a production aimed towards children, though pantomimes are not our thing. We are always looking for more talent on stage, backstage, front of house or in an administrative role. While we encourage all our members to strive towards excellence and imrpovement in all their roles, our main priority is entertainment, both for ourselves and our audiences.

GuildfordPH Productions was formed in November 2009 by Alex Parker and Catharine Humphrys, after their successful collaboration on COME ONE, COME ALL in September 2009, at The Electric Theatre, Guildford. Alex created extravagant orchestral arrangements of his favourite show-stoppers from the major Musicals of the last 25 years and formed a eighteen-piece orchestra of young musicians. Together with a valiant troupe of singers and dancers they performed solos, duets and rousing ensemble songs that delighted their audience. In January 2010, the company put on RAISE YOUR VOICE, a concert of ensemble musical theatre songs at the Farnham Maltings with a cast made up of singers from Surrey. The twist on the event was that it was rehearsed in just forty-eight hours. A fourteen-piece orchestra accompanied the concert. In July 2010, PH Productions put on a concert of RODGERS AND HAMMERSTEIN songs at the Electric Theatre. The concert brought together sixteen fantastic local singers as well as forty of England's best young musicians. Since then, the company have started to produce full scale musicals as well as more concerts. Musicals Adults only Rehearsal days vary by production. Intensive rehearsal period often involves 5/6 days per week for short periods of time. Contact info@p-h-productions.co.uk |
