St Anne’s Hall, St Ann’s Crescent, Wandsworth, London SW18 2LR

Based in Wandsworth, SW18, we are one of south west London’s longest established amateur theatre groups. We produce four shows a year, including a seasonal pantomime. Our main home is St Anne's Hall in Wandsworth, but we also perform at various venues in the area. The group is known for its adventurous repertoire and high-quality work. We’re friendly, inclusive and always looking for people to join us, either on or off stage. Everyone is welcome.
New Stagers’ shows have high production values and innovative treatments. We take our drama seriously, but are not averse to fun, especially after rehearsals when we usually have a relaxing drink or two. We are a friendly and inclusive group, and welcome new members for both acting and offstage roles.

North London Tavern 375 Kilburn High Road, Kilburn, London NW6 7QB

Founded in 1948, Player-Playwrights is a fixed point in London’s ever-expanding new writing scene. We are a membership group open to all.
Run by a volunteer committee of writers and actors, we keep our focus on writing for the professional stage.
But we also read radio drama, TV sitcoms and occasionally film scripts. We have even read the book for a musical.
We hold competitions three times a year for short plays of less than 10 minutes on a designated theme.
For our regular weekly readings, our audience is a mixture of experienced actors and writers and others who are just starting out. Some come along just to hear and react to new writing.
Parts are cast in advance and actors generally meet the author for a table read-through beforehand. All scripts are evaluated members and mentored if necessary.
While we are not a producing organisation, many plays first read at Player-Playwrights have gone on to full production at a variety of venues in London and elsewhere, including the Edinburgh Fringe and the Camden Fringe.
Please come along to one of our readings and see what we do.

Our venue is the North London Tavern 375 Kilburn High Road, Kilburn, London NW6 7QB. We gather at 7 for a 7.30 prompt start to the reading every Monday except for bank holidays and seasonal breaks.
Close to Kilburn Underground station and Brondesbury Overground, you can find it at 375 Kilburn High Road, London NW6 7QB.
