Julian Perretta, has had number 1 hits all over Europe, Jamie Nicholls starred in Ricki Beadle-Blair’s ‘Gutted’ before touring with ‘Houdini’ playing the title role and is now in Holby City. David O’Mahony has performed in the West End in The Bodyguard and will soon be a part of Beautiful and Joe Davies is currently performing in Hangmen at the Royal Court before it transfers to the Wyndhams. E11

Story-making classes & crafting activities for children aged 5 to 11 in E11. At Seedlings we sow seeds for imagination & germinate creative growth
Seedlings is a brand new drama club for children in E11. We provide creative story-making classes and crafting activities. At Seedlings your child’s curiosity is at the forefront of what we do. We encourage your child to think outside the box. Your child will learn social and creative skills and become aware of what they can perform individually and collectively.
At Seedlings we make our own stories from scratch and bring the children’s imagination to life. We invent, investigate, improvise and make theatrical objects to support the children’s ideas. Through play stories emerge and we bring them together as a group.
No Seedlings lesson is the same but our focus is always to keep your child happy, encouraged and engaged.
At Seedlings we aim to only work with recyclable and biodegradable materials when creating theatrical objects to support a more sustainable way of making theatre. A cardboard box can turn into a puppet or a background setting - the possibilities are endless! We believe that this will foster a more sustainable way of thinking and spark original thought.
We currently offer one lesson every Thursday from 16.30 to 17.30 in the Community Hall of The Parish Church of Saint Andrew 153 Colworth Rd, London E11 1JD. We will branch out to having more classes if there is demand.
The first Seedlings class is on Thursday the 20th of May 2021 from 16.30 to 17.30.

The Old Fire Station, 2a Norwood High Street, West Norwood, London SE27 9NS

The South London Theatre (SLT) was founded in 1967 and we've been thriving ever since. SLT is a large, well established, repertory style, non-professional theatre based in a converted Grade II listed, Victorian fire station in West Norwood. We operate as a members' club, and we're always keen to attract new faces to our organisation, whether on or off stage or in the audience.

As a member of the Little Theatre Guild of Great Britain, we aim to produce at least 20 shows a year in our newly refurbished studio theatre, in an inclusive and varied programme. Shows can range from Shakespeare and classic dramas to modern comedies and new writing, with at least one musical and a couple of family shows for good measure.

All aspects of each production are run by our members. There’s plenty of opportunity for everyone, not just on the stage but also behind the scenes where you can learn about lighting, sound, stage management and directing. We also need members to run the box office, front of house and the members' club bar.

Since our £2 million refurbishment in 2016-2018, we are committed to opening up this wonderful community asset to a wider audience. We're currently developing our strategy to increase both adult and youth learning to bring a more diverse audience in to enjoy, celebrate and benefit from the arts and all our activities.

Among past members are Leslie Howard, who became a Hollywood star in Gone with the Wind, Jack Warner of Dixon of Dock Green fame, Mabel Constanduros (prolific playwright, actress and creator of Grandma Buggins) and Gladys Young, dubbed ‘First Lady of the BBC’.
