Younger Generation Theatre Group

Croydon

The Younger Generation was set up in 1989 to give young people the oppportunity and chance to appear on stage in a professional environment. The group is a registered charity and last year they represented N.O.D.A. (National Operatic & Dramatic Assoc)in the Queen Mother's Birthday parade in London. Group is for boys & girls aged 10 to 18 who want to appear on the stage. We like to have about 100 young people aged 9 - 18 tears old in our shows. We try to give each cast member and equal amount of items to appear in. We know that some of our cast are not 'brilliant' but we do not aim for perfection like stage school. Our aim is to let anyone try that would like to have a go at being on stage. It doesn't matter if you are fat, thin, tall, short or even from Mars, if you have the energy and are prepared to work with us, we will help you! The annual show is at the Ashcroft Theatre, Croydon. There is a one off subscription fee of £50, which covers all rehearsals and costumes. For further information please contact Diane on 020 8679-9404
