Young Actors Theatre

The Young Actors Theatre is a unique and vibrant community based theatre which provides drama classes, workshops and productions for young people with the opportunity for professional development in the performing arts.
To have fun through drama
To develop drama, social and life skills through excellent teaching
To foster an appreciation of the arts
To recognize, nurture and develop talent
To create an accessible environment which welcomes and encourages all members of the community to participate.
To develop sustainable funding.
We offer a range of tailor made workshops led by industry professionals for schools, colleges and businesses either here at the theatre or in your home venue. For younger children we offer basic story telling and improvisation workshops, for schools we can work with the curriculum - a set text for example - and for businesses we can offer presentation skills, team building etc.

Younger Generation Theatre Group

The Younger Generation was set up in 1989 to give young people the oppportunity and chance to appear on stage in a professional environment. The group is a registered charity and last year they represented N.O.D.A. (National Operatic & Dramatic Assoc)in the Queen Mother's Birthday parade in London. Group is for boys & girls aged 10 to 18 who want to appear on the stage. We like to have about 100 young people aged 9 - 18 tears old in our shows. We try to give each cast member and equal amount of items to appear in. We know that some of our cast are not 'brilliant' but we do not aim for perfection like stage school. Our aim is to let anyone try that would like to have a go at being on stage. It doesn't matter if you are fat, thin, tall, short or even from Mars, if you have the energy and are prepared to work with us, we will help you! The annual show is at the Ashcroft Theatre, Croydon. There is a one off subscription fee of £50, which covers all rehearsals and costumes. For further information please contact Diane on 020 8679-9404
