Chorleywood Amateur Dramatic Society was formed in January 2004 and we've been staging comedy productions each year since then at the Chorleywood Memorial Hall. Corvus Amateur Drama Society (CADS) is Royston's amateur drama group, performing since the 1940s. Membership is open to anyone from 15 years of age upwards, though we also perform a family pantomime that embraces all age groups. If involved in a show, you must be prepared to block your diary out for the whole week. Rehearsal nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays, with some Sunday afternoons nearer the time of the performance. Rehearsals are held in Goffs Oak and Cuffley. New members are always welcome, whether you wish to perform or help with one of the many and necessary jobs behind the scenes. We are a well established amdram group who are passionate about putting on plays. We put on 2 plays a year as well as entering a one act play into local competitions. We have a lovely venue for our plays in Cuffley Hall, Maynards Place Cuffley. We rehearse twice a week from September to the end of March, on Mondays and Thursdays. EBLOS Musical Theatre is a friendly amateur operatic society, this year celebrating its 50th anniversary. We perform two major shows each year at the Radlett Centre, Aldenham Avenue, Radlett as well as concerts, plays and have regular social events. Our next major show is 42nd Street to be performed in October 2010 and we are looking for new members to join us either onstage or backstage. 42nd Street is a lively musical with many well known songs and loads to do so bring those dancing feet down to Fairway Hall, Brook Road, Borehamwood on Thursdays at 7.45pm. Contact ehos@btinternet.com East Herts Operatic Society, known as EHOS, has been entertaining local audiences since 1960. A growing list of past productions charts the company’s history and success from its start with Gilbert and Sullivan productions in local schools to more varied work. In 1976 EHOS was the first group to put on a musical at the new Broxbourne Civic Hall, performing ‘The Gypsy Baron’ to full houses. The society produces two shows a year in March and September covering a wide variety of musical theatre to cover tastes. Since 1991 the society has had a thriving youth section, New Expressions, which has over 40 members between the ages of 6 and 16. In 2009 we introduced our EHOS polo shirts. Membership includes the opportunity to take part in upcoming productions, social events, the chance to make new friends and learn new skills, as well as receiving our monthly newsletter and access to our Facebook EHOS member group. We need all sort of people to make our society work, so why not join in the team spirit? To be eligible to join the EHOS Adult section you must be at least 16 years of age. To audition and be in the cast of a production you must be a member of the Society.
Rehearsals are in Winchmore Hill on Tues and Friday evenings. We are a friendly musical theatre company based in Enfield in North London. The main focus of our activities is the performance of popular musicals at the Wyllyotts Theatre in Potters Bar twice a year. Of course, in order to perform the shows there is a huge amount of work that needs to go on way before we take to the stage for 'opening night'. We are a local amateur dramatics group based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. Established in 1969, we welcome all members aged 16 and over. We rehearse on a Tuesday evening at the Elstree UTC, Studio Way, Borehamwood from 7.30pm to 10pm.
Emil Dale’s School of Performing Arts is a part time independent school offering comprehensive training which concentrates on all three disciplines: Dance, Acting and Singing. All our teachers have been trained professionally at top drama/musical theatre schools in London and are currently working in the business. The Full Circle Theatre Company was set up in June 2002 At the heart of the company’s work is its core concept of creating an entire show from script to production. The philosophy behind the company is to give all members a chance to learn, develop and practice their theatrical skills. The Full Circle concept is about nurturing new and existing talent.
