The Talisman Theatre is a member theatre of the Little Theatre Guild and is justly proud of the highest standards in all departments. We aim to stage ten main house productions every year, in addition to occasional 'Studio Saturday Night' productions in our Studio. We also have a thriving Youth Theatre Group which stages productions in the Main House. Fund-raising one-off shows are also produced and we host shows produced by other groups, whenever they can be squeezed in. The Company was founded in 1942. In 1969 we moved from what is now Talisman Square to our present theatre in Barrow Road, which seats 156 people, as well as accommodating a bar/foyer with regular art exhibitions, and a studio for rehearsal and small-scale productions. We are a registered charity and are completely run by volunteers. We receive no grants or sponsorship, and so all income is generated from ticket sales, membership and donations. The company includes and welcomes actors, designers, technicians, backstage and front of house assistants. Membership Our Main House productions are open to the general public but, in order to participate in the activities of the Talisman, you need to become a member. Activities include appearing on stage or helping backstage, and access to information regarding various social events throughout the year. Other advantages include concessions on ticket prices, admission to Studio Productions and a monthly copy of the theatre magazine, "Talismag".

Our vibrant, young company has played to sell out audiences around Warwickshire and the West Midlands. We produce professional, theatrical shows to enlighten and entertain audiences across Stratford and the UK. Our Company uses imagination, creativity and ingenuity to put a contemporary twist onto classic works. We engage audiences through excellent story telling, allowing beautiful writing to flow off the page and onto the stage. We challenge people’s perceptions of traditional theatre and create original works inspired by established playwrights. Our productions open audiences eyes to endless creative possibilities. The language and the characters are our key focus as we make literature accessible to all. Our minimalist and visually stimulating sets give the actors room to draw audiences young and old into the world the characters inhabit. Tread the Boards are in the heart of the theatre town of Britain and we are here to entertain you. If you would like to contact us regarding bookings or enquiries please phone us on Box Office Number: 01789 404600 ext3 or tread.theboards@live.co.uk
