We are based in the West Chiltington Village hall where all our members evenings and Productions are held. Most Rehearsals are also here, either in the main hall or, in the early stages, in the Annex at the back of the hall. We also hold our “Play Readings for Pleasure” and Annual AGM in the annex. Unless stated otherwise, this is where these events are held. We usually rehearse on Mondays and Thursdays, 7.30pm to 10.00pm. Shows are held Thursday to Saturday. Members evenings are usually on Saturdays. We are a friendly and active society with two productions a year (Spring and autumn), regular newsletters, Members Evening with entertainment and supper plus other societies events including visits to other groups performances. Don’t worry of you do not want to appear on stage—backstage and front of house crew are always welcome, plus help organizing members evenings, food, raffles, setting out the hall, the list is virtually endless! The Wick Theatre Company, based at the Barn Theatre, Southwick, Sussex, England has been in existence since 1948, when a group of theatre-mad youngsters got together to start making their dreams come true. There are four major productions a year, varying from Shakespearean drama to musicals – something to suit every taste. Membership permitting Wick will produce a smaller, more challenging studio production or a Young Wick production. But it’s not only the major productions; down through the years there has been more! Wick is always seeking new members, for both acting and back-stage work. But it’s not all staged drama there are play-readings, workshops and regular social events. We are a registered charity with all proceeds ploughed straight back into future productions. Box Office: 01273 597094

WMTC (under its original name 'Worthing Light Opera Company') was founded by its Chairman David Turner in 1972. Our first musical Ivor Novello's 'Glamorous Night' was performed at the Pavilion Theatre on Worthing Pier in June 1973. Since that time the amateur dramatics company has flourished, undertaking new and challenging shows such as Bad Girls, Honk!, Acorn Antiques and Sweeney Todd, mixing these with more well-known and much-loved musicals such as South Pacific, Fiddler on the Roof, My Fair Lady, Carousel, Oklahoma, Gilbert & Sullivan Operettas, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Summer Holiday and most recently Andrew Lloyd Webber's; Sunset Boulevard. During its 40th Anniversary year in 2012, the company decided to look at a rebrand and a new image to move with the times and to take it forward into the next 40 years. Worthing Musical Theatre Company was therefore created to better reflect the wide and diverse range of shows it was now performing. Everything but the name remains the same however, in particular the quality of shows we produce on a regular basis.
