Based in Brighton it has already gained an excellent reputation both with audience and professionals alike for producing new and vibrant theatre to an outstanding professional standard. In its short life it has already won a top awarded presented by the National Operatic & Dramatic Association (NODA). It has produced plays, its own musical concert and taken part in a number of charity fundraising concerts. RyeRye Players is an enthusiastic amateur dramatic society based in Rye, East Sussex.
It aims to put on plays and musicals for the local community and actively encourages participation from all its members. This participation could be performing on stage, operating the lighting or sound, costumes, set design and construction or front-of-house activities. Whatever takes your fancy.
The society has several fund raising and social functions throughout the year and so if you would prefer to play a more relaxed role, that is fine too. The main ingredient of all our activities is fun and we aim to ensure that all new members are made very welcome.

We are always happy to welcome New Members but due to Council Regulations we are unable to accept those under 18 at this time.
Principal roles are allocated by Audition prior to each show but Chorus members are not required to audition.
Those wishing to work 'behind the scenes' are also very welcome.
Rehearsals take place at the Barn Theatre, Saxon Lane (Car Park), normally on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 7.30 p.m.

There are so many reasons for joining us, and so many different aspects of the theatre in which to take part. You could sing, act, dance, work backstage or front-of-house; or help with costumes, publicity or fundraising. Can you play the piano? Perhaps you could volunteer to accompany us at rehearsals! Hastings, East SussexAims: SHADES Theatre Company is a registered charity whose objects are to further the Christian religion and, in particular, to produce works of dramatic art of a Christian nature and theme for the benefit of the general public.
We also have a lot of fun together socially and run open drama workshops.
Type: Performances range from sketches to full length plays, musicals and revues.
Age Range: Membership is invited from church-going adults over the age of 16. We have an under 16s Register for young actors who are welcome to all our events and workshops and are invited for specific productions when young characters are required.
