You are welcome to join the theatre and take part in its activities, either on stage, backstage, or further behind the scenes. If you are interested in joining why not pop down to the theatre any weekday evening when we don't have a show on (excluding August)? There's always a Duty Officer on duty who can show you round and answer any questions you may have. If you're visiting the theatre to see a show and are interested in getting involved do join us for a drink afterwards in the bar and we'll be happy to show you around. New members are always welcome and there are plenty of ways to get involved - experience is certainly not necessary! When you arrive at the theatre please go upstairs to the bar area as this is always the best place to find the Duty Officer! Baptist Church West Bridgford on Muster's Road, Nottingham
The West Bridgford Operatic SocietyEmail: enquiries@wbos.org.uk The WBOS, based in Nottingham, England, was formed in 1945, and recently celebrated its 60th anniversary. Our first show was in 1946 and every year since then we have performed at least one show every year! The Society has established a reputation for having high-quality singing, both chorus and principals. This reputation, together with a high standard of production, means that we are able to produce a top quality show both acoustically and visually. Our policy has always been to cast principals from within the Society, if possible, which means everyone can audition and has a fair chance of singing solos. It's not all singing, however. The Society has a good reputation for being friendly, new members are made very welcome and are very quickly included in the social side of things. We have a number of social events throughout the year, plus regular post-rehearsal drinks (just to settle the vocal chords you understand!). You will find a friendly welcome if you would like to join us. You may want to sing and dance in our shows and concerts, but we’re just as happy to have new members who want to help with stage management, costumes, props, or the many other things which go into making a good show.
