Irchester Players are an amateur dramatics group based in Irchester, Northants. We are a not-for-profit theatre group who work very hard rehearsing and performing several shows each year including pantomimes and shows. We have a very large cast currently but as ever are always seeking new members for the cast and crew.
We obtain scripts and change them in the Irchester Players way and recently have been writing our own scripts for performances developing on some original and great ideas. Rehearsals tend to be on Wednesday evenings at a local venue then also on Sundays as performances approach.
Visit our website www.irchesterplayers.co.uk for more information about current activity and performances. We have many roles where help will always be welcome in addition to performers such as front of house, stage crew, sound and lighting, set and prop building and not forgetting the set and prop painting. Khameleon Kompany

Daventry

We are Khameleon Kompany and we run YouthPOD & Toddlepod

YouthPOD is now expanding! We are bringing our confidence building, skill enhancing, fun classes to Long Buckby, as well as Weedon and Daventry.
We teach your child to sing, dance and act as well as other basic theatre skills but we place the emphasis on their creativity. Shows are built through their imagiations and passions. We always allow all children the chance to shine at whatever they want to showcase. No one takes centre stage. They all do!
PLUS (and this is the best news yet!) we are introducing a Poddlings class. Specially for 4,5 and 6 year olds
4pm till 5pm on Sunday evenings at Everyone Active Daventry.
Interested: email us youthpod@khameleonkompany.co.uk

Toddlepod
We also bring theatre skills to pre-schoolers with our ToddlePOD sessions. Based on key skills from the EYFS (early year guidelines) we act, dance and sing our way through new stories every week using interactive, hand-on methods and a bucket full of fun. We encourage and support adults involvement and specifically add parent/child connecting time, so ToddlePOD creates a space in your week for one-to-one learning and play.
At just £4 per child including coffee/tea juice and biscuits at the end of each session.
Classes now on. Call or email for details.

Masque Theatre

Facebook

Northampton

Masque Theatre is one of Northampton’s longest-established community theatre groups. In 2012, we will be celebrating our 80th birthday. Masque Theatre and Masque Youth Theatre have a combined membership of around 150.
Each year we perform six or seven productions. We aim to put on plays that are entertaining, interesting or unusual, providing our membership and audience with variety across the season. For example, the 2009/10 season includes Closer by Patrick Marber, The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov and Arsenic and Old Lace by Joseph Kesselring. Our annual open-air production is a much-loved Northampton tradition.
Age Range: Masque Youth Theatre gives 10 to 19-year-olds acting workshops and experience of performance. The main Masque Theatre group accepts actors of all ages on merit.
Rehearsal times vary from production to production depending on availability of cast and venues.
Masque Theatre has no premises of its own so is able to choose venues which are suitable for each production. Popular venues include Northampton College’s studio theatre, The Crusader Round of the historic Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Northampton, The University of Northampton and The Playhouse Theatre, Northampton. Our annual summer open-air productions take place in the Courtyard of Abington Park Museum, Northampton.

Oundle G&S Players

Oundle

Oundle Gilbert and Sullivan Players was formed in 1958. Our first show was 'The Pirates of Penzance' performed in 1959 and we have been entertaining audiences every year since.
We produce two shows a year. Our main production is in February/March when we perform one of the many famous Gilbert & Sullivan operettas.
Our second is a Summer concert in June when we perform a variety of songs loosely based around a theme (The 2014 theme is books, the title Once upon a Time). The songs range from pop, jazz and humorous songs to songs from musicals, with no G & S at all.
We rehearse once a week on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. and provide a warm welcome to all. Rehearsals for the main show start late August / early September. Rehearsals for the Summer concert start immediately after the Spring show, usually in March.
New members are always welcome. You can join as a full member and take part in either or both productions.
Even if you don't sing, there is almost guaranteed to be some part of what we do that will be of interest. From stage construction to wardrobe to front of house, the opportunities are many and varied.

Rushden Amateur Operatic Society

Rushden

The R.A.T.S. has been providing live theatre to the town of Rushden in Northamptonshire for the last 50 years. We perform regularly at the Pemberton Centre in the town, with a pantomime every January, and most summers we perform a play, which is usually a comedy. New members from the age of 12 upwards are always welcome.
Come and join us!
Are you interested in any aspect of amateur dramatics? Have you been looking to join the R.A.T.S. but have not been sure how to go about it?
On the first Thursday of every month, we meet informally at 7:30pm in The Oak Room at the Rushden Rangers Football Club on Hayden Road (click here for location). Existing and potential new members are all welcome, so this is an ideal opportunity to come and meet members of the society, outside of an audition or rehearsal environment, and find out what we do.
