SouthportThe Club was formed back in the days of Little Richard and Buddy Holly when a small section of All Souls Youth Club decided to put on plays and sketches for the local community. Due to the popularity of the plays and pantomimes the decision was made in the early 1970s to move the performances to Southport Arts Centre on Lord Street. The club has gone from strength to strength and now performs their annual pantomime to over 4000 patrons over a three week period. Don't think that we are a club that can only perform pantomimes. Over the years we have performed summer reviews, music hall, plays and numerous charity concerts. It is with thanks to the public who support us and watch our shows that we are able to donate to local charities each year. We aren't just a membership of performing members. We have many social members who support us by attending our many social events each year and many of whom make up the bulk of our very important backstage crew. We meet as a club on a Wednesday night at All Souls Community Centre on Norwood Road at 7.30pm. Contact contact@allsoulsdramaticclub.co.uk |

24A Clifton Road, BirkenheadBOST is a leading musical theatre company based in Merseyside. Established in 1926, BOST has evolved into a thriving, modern society of dedicated playing and non-playing members, who range in both age and experience. We have members who have been ‘treading the boards’ for years and those for whom BOST is their first foray into musical theatre We employ a professional director, musical director and choreographer, and encourage all our members to develop their talents. In particular, we take great satisfaction in seeing our young singers develop into confident all-round performers. Our non-acting members keep the Society and productions running smoothly. These invaluable members form the teams which take responsibility for organising the many necessary facets of successful show production – such as ticket-booking, wardrobe, props, stage management, general administration, etc, and ensuring that the playing members are able to perform on stage. The society meets each week at our headquarters Alexander Hall in Birkenhead, Wirral, where we organise and rehearse our various concerts and the musicals we stage at The Liverpool Empire Theatre and other theatres in the region. Our aim is always to bring great musicals to premier theatres at an affordable price. It is rewarding to find that these shows are highly acclaimed by local and regional press and radio critics alike. fanfare During the festive season we present our Fanfare For Christmas concert to which we invite a prize-winning silver band from the Northwest of England as guest artistes. A firm favourite with our audiences, these Yule-tide extravaganzas include a mix of traditional, modern and humorous festive pieces. BOST also has a Concert Party group who tailor and perform individual concerts for charities’ fund-raising events and for other organisations, at their request. Always looking to the future, we are constantly seeking new ideas, new events, and, indeed, new members – building on our long-established tradition and aiming to remain at the pinnacle of musical theatre entertainment in the North West.
