HaxeyHADS is a local drama group based in Haxey, Lincolnshire. Haxey Amateur Dramatic Society, formed in the 1920s, has a long history of bringing some light entertainment to the residents of the village and surrounding area. In recent years the Society has concentrated on comedy and farce, putting on either 1 or 2 full length productions in a year, with sometimes a shorter play also. Audience numbers have risen steadily and the Society usually attracts a total audience of around 700 people over 4 or 5 nights. Any surplus from productions is used to improve facilities at Haxey Memorial Hall. Most of these benefit all users of the Hall - e. g. new and more comfortable chairs, and a sound system to help the hard of hearing. When funds allow the Society also makes signicant donations to other community groups. comedy, farce and one act plays Age Range: all ages are welcome Rehearsals: usually Monday’s and Wednesday’s, but can be more nearer to performance time Contact haxeyads@btinternet.com |
