Pac Arts - Performing Arts Company

Pac Arts - Performing Arts Company

Hedge End near Southampton

The Performing Arts Company is a very successful youth theatre company based in Hedge End near Southampton.
The Performing Arts Company, was set up in Hedge End in 1992 for the benefit of the young people of the local area, to perform in the arts under constructive learning to performance level. In the last 20 years we have rehearsed and performed over 60 productions, from musicals and pantomimes to concerts.
We have rehearsed in Hedge End Youth and Community Centre twice a week over all that time, initially there was nowhere to perform in Hedge End, so we put our shows on at The Eastpoint Centre, Southampton and The Point in Eastleigh.
Over the past few years we have performed our smaller shows at Hedge End Village Hall, and since the opening of The Berry Theatre in Hedge End, and with the committees support we have moved our Summer and Pantomime to The Berry with our concerts based in the Village Hall, which means we are totally based in Hedge End.
We have three performances throughout the year, advertised locally and on our site, and over the past 20 years we have trained and encouraged well over 200 young people in the arts, many have now gone out in to the big wide world with confidence to tackle life in a variety of jobs. We are now beginning to encourage the next generation of young people within the company to go into the future.
We are always keen to welcome new members in all areas including cast, back stage, choreography, orchestra and production team.

Ringwood Waldorf School stands on the borders of Dorset and Hampshire, close to the River Avon. To the east lie the ancient port of Southampton and the beautiful New Forest: to the north the plains of Salisbury and to the south Bournemouth and the sea. The School was founded in a row of labourers' cottages - "Folly Farm" - in 1974 and opened with six pupils. There are now over two hundred and sixty children and the school has just completed the building of a purpose-designed complex, the only new-build Waldorf Steiner school in the UK.
