BrixhamBOADS welcome anyone new to the area or simply interested in joining to get in touch! We love hearing about individuals and their specific skill - and finding out if we can somehow involve them in an up and coming show - so why not get involved? Rehearsing and Performing with BOADS is fun and engaging - and presents a fantastic opportunity to work with some accomplished directors and musicians, actors and vocalists. If you're even remotely interested in joining the society, then get in touch, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible! We consider everyone with ties to BOADS to be a part of the society, in whatever way - we openly invite new members every day!

ExeterThe Coffee House Players are a light-hearted, Exeter based theatre group. As the name may suggest, we like to spend time in coffee shops: rehearsing, performing and drinking coffee. We're also rather fond of pubs. We have a mixture of members from a variety of age groups and welcome anybody who would like to get involved. Contact coffee.house.players@googlemail.com |
ColytonEntertaining the community, Colyton Theatre Group was formed in 1975 and has been going strong ever since. The Constitution states that ‘the aim of the Group shall be to produce plays, etc. for the entertainment and education of the public and to foster interest and ability in the performing arts’. That might be the case but it does sound a little serious and formal. We like to think that, while pursuing these worthy aims, we also provide an opportunity for people to have fun, to get together with old friends and make new ones. We want people to come along and share their skills and perhaps to discover skills they did not know they had. Our aim is to involve and entertain the community. We present at least one play a year and pantomimes are always popular. There is a Summer School for young people where they learn drama skills and create a performance. We frequently take part in the Exmouth Festival, always come up with an entertainment for Carnival Week and join in the Carnival Procession. For those who enjoy taking part in plays without becoming involved in a stage performance, we have the Play Reading Group. There are so many ways you could become involved: as actors, directors, front of house, stage managers, wardrobe assistants, prompts or with computing and advertising skills. The more members we have, the more we can offer and it is a good way to meet new friends. If you prefer, just come along and enjoy our productions; you will be very welcome and we look forward to meeting you. Contact via website |
