Orpen Hall, Lexden Rd, West Bergholt, Colchester, CO6 3BWThe fun thing about Orpen is that they pretty much allow you to do whatever you feel you can do.
I've acted in plays but I've also operated the sound effects up in the box at the back of the Orpen Hall.

PANTOLOONS
BraintreePantoloons was founded in 1983 for the sole purpose of performing an annual pantomime by and for the people of the Braintree area. The aim was to put on a top class production while keeping ticket prices at an affordable level.
Over the years hundreds of different cast and crew members have maintained those aims and improved the shows year on year. We now put on a show which is preferred by our audiences to professional alternatives.
Profits from the production are donated to local charities and we have raised many thousands of pounds over the years. The company also presents two performances per productions, free of charge, exclusively for members of local charitable groups.
From a humble beginning of four evenings and one matinee we now do eleven shows in total, five of which are matinees. Up to 2350 people watch our performances annually and many people come every year.
Many people are involved in any one show and all work for free. Each show costs thousands of pounds to produce but we receive no grants or financial assistance and raise all the money ourselves.
We rehearse every Tuesday and Thursday between the hours of 7.30pm and 10.00pm at Braintree Arts Theatre (shows and rehearsals)
There are also up to 4 Sunday rehearsals between the hours of 10.00am and 4.00pm (we always try to squeeze in time for lunch).
We regret, however, that we are unable to accept members under the age of 16 (or 14 if a parent /guardian is also a member) due to rulings under the Children's Act.
We are always looking for new members.
