Hi All Just to let people know about our group. We are always looking for new members either back stage or front of curtain. If you are interested then have a look at our website and contact us. You don’t have to ‘tread the boards’, as we are always happy to welcome non-acting members as well as anyone who has the desire to perform. We meet at Arden Hall, Water Orton Road, Castle Bromwich, on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 7.30 til 10pm. Why not come along and give us a try or give us a call for a chat before-hand. For the non-performers we have a variety of backstage roles to challenge your talents, such as set design and building, costumes and props, sound, lighting and stage management and in the run up to, and during a performance, we always need extra help at front of house, with publicity and ticket & program sales. For the thespians among you, we currently produce at least one play and a pantomime each year with roles to suit all. Whether you prefer an acting or non-acting role, we can guarantee a great deal of fun and laughter ! We are an multi-award winning (see below!) North Birmingham based amateur theatre company. We normally put on two shows a year, a main production in the autumn and a pantomime in early February. HGLT has been producing quality drama since 1950 and is run by committed volunteers who all share the same passion and enthusiasm for theatre. Producing 10 productions per season, six on the main stage and four in the studio, the theatre also boasts a rehearsal room, large wardrobe and props departments, licensed bar as well as other facilities. A member of The Little Theatre of Great Britain HGLT offers wide ranging theatre from drama, comedy to farce and our annual traditional Christmas family production. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved and HGLT welcomes all those with an interest in theatre to join a thriving team.
INFINITY STAGE COMPANY is the only theatre society at the University of Birmingham that donates all its proceeds to a chosen charity! The society puts on around 6 productions a year, as well as organising volunteering opportunities and the Christmas Ball. They also hold workshops/auditions throughout the year, including monologue showcases, acting for screen technique and with leading drama schools such as the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. We are a drama group for Deaf and hearing adults (18+) We meet every Saturday at 2pm - 5pm at The Custard Factory, Studio 410. We always welcome new members, you don't need experience and you don't have to know British Sign Language (BSL) as their is a qualified BSL interpreter at every sessions. Last year we performed our own creation 'Monopoly the Musical' at the Birmingham Hippodrome. Sessions are lead by Deaf and hearing drama facilitators.
