Reynoldston is a small village in the middle of the Gower Peninsular just outside Swansea in South Wales, UK. Our website is intended for locals to find out what we and others on Gower are doing but also for friends who have moved elsewhere to keep in touch. If you have items for inclusion please e-mail. We are a small society of about 50 members and we aim to put on 3 productions a year. The society is organised by a small committee and benefit from the support of a group of local patrons. If you want more information or wish to join us please contact us through the links on this site. It is a couple of years now, following the renovation of our Village Hall, that a few of us re-started Gower Players. We wanted to bring live entertainment back to Reynoldston. We are succeeding. But some of the motives were selfish we actually enjoy putting on productions. It is one of those challenges that when you have finished is very rewarding. We are always looking for new people to help either on-stage or backstage constructing sets, finding props or sorting out the costumes. Gower Youth Players Contact via our website or social media |

SwanseaFormed in 1935 and enjoying an international reputation as a leading exponent of male choral singing, the Morriston Orpheus Choir is in constant demand performing around 25 engagements annually. The Choir undertakes performances on television, at national and promotional events and provides corporate and after-dinner entertainment. This famous Welsh male voice choir can provide a complete show, including solo artistes. The Choir is also available to sing at weddings. The Morriston Orpheus Choir is always on the look out for new recruits: Young or not so young. A solo quality voice is not essential but you will need the ability to sing in tune and be able to learn and retain an extensive repertoire as we sing without music copies. Just as important is the ability to blend in with others both musically and socially. We work hard at our music, but are not elitist. We are friendly and sociable with a wide spread and intensely loyal band of supporters. Our rehearsals take place each Sunday and Wednesday (with exceptions) from 7:00-9:00pm at The Great Hall of Swansea University's Bay Campus, Fabian Way, Swansea SA1 8EN Contact via website and social media |
