We meet & rehearse in Wesley Chapel hall in Taibach on Fridays and also on Tuesdays when we are rehearsing productions.. We are always pleased to welcome new members in any capacity. Putting on a play doesn’t just call for good actors. It requires a very wide range of skills from carpentry and general DIY to financial and administrative and not least the ability to make a good cup of tea! Not sure if amateur dramatics are for you? Then why not come along and meet us. There is no obligation to join, so If you would like to try something different come along to Wesley Chapel hall. The Society ranges in age from early 20s to over 60. We all have a wide range of backgrounds but what unites us is our love of live theatre and the challenge of putting on two productions a year. Those challenges mean we have to work as a team and this results in a close knit “family” atmosphere. We meet on Fridays at 7.30pm in the hall at Wesley Chapel, Taibach, Port Talbot. We also meet on Tuesdays when rehearsing for a production. The Society also has a very long standing unofficial association with Aberavon RFC’s Social Club and members can normally be found at the Manor Street Clubhouse after rehearsals on a Friday. Additionally, there is an annual Dinner & Dance, usually held in January. We also visit, from time to time, other local societies’ productions as well as the professional theatre. We love to welcome new members and, as an amateur society, it isn’t a requirement to have had any previous acting experience. We regret that for insurance reasons we don’t have a youth section and can’t take members under 18.
