Abergele Theatre Group

Facebook

Mynydd Seion Chapel, Chapel Street, Abergele

Abergele Theatre Group was established 24 years ago and is the brainchild of our President Joyce Williams, who also directs most of our productions.
The group is split into 2 sections, the seniors for persons 16 years and over lead by Joyce and the juniors for young people under 16 years lead by Becky.
We stage mainly farcical comedies as these have proven the most successful with our audiences over the years, however because we are always willing to try out new ideas we have also put on a murder mystery evening and a couple of variety shows recently which also appear to have gone down well !

Colwyn

We are a friendly/welcoming group who have been established over 50 years, presenting a whole range of material - from classical drama to comedy. As well as appearing consistently at our local theatre, we have recently 'gone mobile', presenting plays in local halls (and even a Retirement Home) for people who asked us to present an evening of drama/entertainment for them. We have competed regularly in both One Act and Three Act Festivals, and earlier this year were delighted when one of our older members achieved a Performance Award locally.
Colwyn Abbey Players meet and rehearse on Mondays and Thursdays at Colwyn Bay Cricket Club.

The Llanfairfechan Community Players (LLCP) is an amateur dramatics group based in the village of Llanfairfechan on the north-west Wales coast.
We aim to put on three main productions a year, with performances taking place, generally, in the Arts & Crafts designed building 'The Institue' on Park Road in Llanfairfechan, although our productions have been toured locally and been performed in the local community centre and churches amongst others.
As well as the main productions the LLCP has a full calendar of social events which over the years has included barbecues, safari suppers, treasure hunts, quizzes and karaoke nights as well as drama associated activities, like play readings, workshops, theatre visits to both professional and amateur productions.

Rhos

Music, especially choral singing, has always played a prominent part in the life of the village of Rhos. It boasts one mixed choir, a musical theatre society, a drama society, two large male voice choirs and a female choir.
Singing, to the people of Rhos, is very important. Rhosllanerchrugog is a village of about 9,000 inhabitants situated on a hilltop overlooking the beautiful Vale of Maelor in North East Wales. The village of Rhos remains a vigorous Welsh community.
The nearest town is Wrexham, within easy reach of Llangollen, the home of the International Musical Eisteddfod. The city of Chester is just over the border of England. We have first class access to the road network to take us nationwide.
