Castaway Community Theatre: Aberystwyth Arts Centre's adult community drama group. Castaway is run as an Arts Centre course, tickets for which are available from the box office. You'll need to be available for the regular weekly rehearsals on Mondays at 7pm, and also for quite a few other nights during the last few weeks of rehearsal. More details are available here on the Arts Centre website. All are welcome of any age and any level of ability - the vast majority of us have no prior stage experience, so we're open to any level of ability. There's no audition process either - if you join, you'll be on stage in the production; but if you're not too confident you can have as few lines as you wish. Our director, Dave Blumfield, is a tutor in the Department of Film, Theatre and TV Studies, and teaches people how to act as his day job as well, so you will be in good and experienced hands. Castaway is run as an Arts Centre course, and can be booked through the Arts Centre at the start of each season. We run three shows a year: The spring show rehearses from January to March The summer show rehearses from June to August The spring show rehearses from October to December You can contact Castaway Community Theatre by sending an email to the following address: info@castawaytheatre.com
