Callander Amateur Operatic Society

Callander

We sprang from a small choral group which met as an evening class run by Ian Milligan in the late seventies. Ian was then and continued to be for many years, Head of Music at McLaren High School in Callander. With Ian's encouragement and leadership, the group decided to form a society, the aim of which was to encourage the study, performance and appreciation of musical plays and light operas as well as encouraging the public to appreciate music in these forms ..... and so CAOS was born.

Crieff Drama Group

Crieff

In 1999 the Group was set up to nurture drama in Crieff through performances, workshops, play readings and the creation of new pieces. Over the years we\’ve produced an huge range of live theatre entertainment, presenting at least three productions a year. Our season includes a full-length play around Easter, a Supper Theatre performance in October, and a short matinee show for children to celebrate the Crieff Christmas lights switch-on.
We're always keen to expand our membership - not just through the folks interested in the acting side, but with people who fancy working with the backstage team (lighting, sound and special effects, set-building, costume etc) or those who'd like to help out front-of-house at our performances.
You can contact the Group by using the 'contact us' form on our website - let us have a phone number too, if you want. If you prefer, since we're currently meeting every Tuesday at 7.30pm in The Crieff Hotel, you could simply turn up and you'd be made very welcome.
So, to join in all this fun-filled excitement.
Hope to see you soon.
