Joining the Opera Company is quite straightforward - just turn up, sign-up, do a simple voice check, pay your subscription and, if OK, you are in. The voice check is to ensure that you can hold a melody while others are singing a different melody - and also to voice place you so that you sing in the section that best suits your voice. There may be a simple acting and movement audition but this is up to the producer - but nothing to worry about. Rehearsals usually take place on Tuesday evenings in the Milburn Academy school hall starting at 7:30 pm and finishing at 10:00 pm. Why not come along to see and hear what you could be joining? The Nairn Drama Club was established in 1946, and owns and runs The Little Theatre in Nairn. Each year the club produces a number of shows, of varying genres, with the annual Christmas panto being the largest production of all. The club meets most Monday evenings from 7:30pm at The Little Theatre (King Street, Nairn), and is open to everyone, whatever your interest in theatre.
