Bigger than Us Productions was set up with the simple proviso of giving everybody a chance on stage. Our ethos is: "It's not who you know, it's what you can show," and we live by this creed, all auditions are open to everybody; we revel in the fact that in each production we have produced we have had new people join us. Set up by Ronan Vallely, PJ Davey and several other kind folk in 2013 we have produced several productions on various stages. And are looking forward to producing rather more than several more. Ekenhead Memorial Halls, North Circular Road, Antrim Road. Rosemary
Rosemary are the most active drama group in North Belfast, putting on two plays a year as well as a series of rehearsed readings in the Autumn. Rosemary Drama Group formed in 1963, producing "Romanoff and Juliet" by Peter Ustinov, for the Festival circuit and putting on "Beside the Seaside" by Leslie Sands, for the Portrush Summer Theatre. Nearly 50 years later, this is still what Rosemary Drama Group does; two major productions each year. The late February play is performed on the local Festival circuit and is usually a serious drama, sometimes the classics, sometimes something more modern. In 2011 and 2012 our festival productions both won 3 festivals, with 2011's production of Peter Quilters "Glorious" winning the Ulster Drama festival itself. The summer productions in Portrush are always great fun and we are proud that we have an unbroken record there of 50 consecutive productions. We look forward to celebrating our 50th anniversary in 2013. These plays are always comedies, usually local ones by Sam Cree, which are very popular with audiences. We are always looking for new members, regardless of age, gender, background or experience! Contact via our website or social media
