Encore Theatre Company, located in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, provides opportunities for those in the Albemarle region to experience and/or participate in theatrical entertainment. Its membership is made up of local actors, directors, and stage personnel who share a love for the theater. All are welcome to join. We are an all-volunteer, membership driven, nonprofit community theater organization whose purpose is to produce "Quality Community Theater" on a consistent basis. Founded in 1992, Encore presents three productions a year in varied formats of comedies, dramas and musicals. We have been rewarded in our efforts with continued community support. Encore offers two college scholarships to qualifying applicants. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm inside our new membership headquarters: 210 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in downtown Elizabeth City.
