Actor's Youth Theatre (AYT) is a non-profit performing arts organization with the mission of educating, entertaining, and enriching the lives of young people and their families through the art of theatre. East Valley Children's Theatre

East Valley Children’s Theatre (EVCT) is more than just a theatre. It is a place where children can grow and develop into confident young adults. At EVCT youth gain self-esteem, and develop creativity. Its mission is to offer youth age 5-18 opportunities to experience the process and product of live theatrical performances, by children for children. School age children and adolescents age 8-18 are invited to audition for every show. Auditions are conducted by highly qualified production teams which vary from show to show. No previous experience is required for children to audition and no advance preparation is needed. We provide youth of the East Valley the opportunity to participate in community-based quality theatrical events for the purpose of developing and enhancing confidence, individual creativity and self-esteem. The Theatre Arts Department at Glendale Community College is unlike any other. With our community resources in Southern California and access to nearby Hollywood and the greater Los Angeles theatre and film communities, many of our students work in the entertainment industry and take classes and participate in productions at GCC in order to build their resume and add to their performance experiences.
The department is performance oriented and the activities of all the classes are focused on a program of two to three productions per year, plus several student showcases. The activities of the department are designed to give our students the maximum experience and training in the least amount of time and yet allow students to shape their own program based upon their personal goals in performance.
The department has an unusually close relationship with the Music and Dance Departments on campus and produces one interdepartmental musical every other year. Come and join us!

Westbrook Village Players

The Westbrook Village Players is a group of theater lovers who work together to produce 2 theatrical productions each year. We present one play or musical in the Spring and one in the Fall. The Opening Friday night is always a dinner theater.
We are a not-for-profit volunteer organization that entirely produces each of our plays. Some of our actors are active in other theaters around the Valley as well. In addition, we have actively worked with area schools and retirement homes recreating historical characters and events. The Village Players have been producing two plays a year since their start in 1998. We are pleased to say that our attendance has steadily grown and we have had thousands of people attend our Spring and Fall performances.
The Object of the Club is to develop theatrical skills of interested Westbrook Village residents through workshops and productions, to encourage creativity of its members, and to increase cultural opportunities for Westbrook Village. Open auditions are held for all productions under the auspices of the Village Players.
We encourage those interested to join our group. We have the need not only for actors, but those behind the scenes as well. We do our own publicity, set design and construction, make-up, costuming, props, stage managing, prompting, playbill/program design and production, acquiring advertising, etc. If you are interested, we will welcome you to the club.
Please join us for meetings on the 2nd Monday of every month (except June and July) at 7:00 p.m. at the Vistas Recreation Center.
