The Canberra Philharmonic Society is one of the oldest and most established organisations in Canberra. Since 1951, Canberra Philharmonic Society has been delighting Canberra audiences with top quality musical theatre. The enthusiasm, talent and energy of our members has resulted in a society with a wide reputation for high standard productions. All of our productions are semi-professional in nature. We combine the wonderful talents of Canberra’s amateur performers and musicians with professional directors, musical directors and choreographers.
Child Players ACT is a family-run children’s amateur theatre group. Our main program is the Child Play program developed by BJ Anyos, our Artistic Director. This program gives children aged 10-16 a unique opportunity to learn all aspects of theatre with training provided in both acting and back-stage skills.

PHOENIXPLAYERS is an amateur theatrical company that was established in 1989. The company aims to develop and promote theatrical skills as well as produce high quality theatre experiences that can be enjoyed by all ages. The company consists of a group of people who can apply their skills, not just to PHOENIXPLAYERS, but to other theatrical groups around the ACT and beyond. PHOENIXPLAYERS is always looking for new members and people who would like to be involved in a dynamic company that produces a wide range of amateur theatre, including musicals, family theatre and plays.
The Queanbeyan Players Inc. is an amateur, self-sustaining, non-profit organisation that was formed in 1965 and Incorporated in 1987. We have about 120 members all ages and backgrounds, with varied theatrical experiences and levels of talent. While some members strive to be part of the cast of every show, some are happier working behind the scenes performing such vital roles as Stage Management, Lighting and Sound. There is always plenty to do, even for members with no interest in 'treading the boards'. Queanbeyan Players stage two musical shows each year, rehearsing on Monday and Thursday evenings in the Uniting Church Hall in Rutledge Street. These productions are staged in the superb, purpose-built theatre 'The Q'.
