A Christmas Carol
Audition deadline: August 27
Performance dates: December 2 - 13, 2026
Carol of The Bells Dark · Lucas King
Auditions open for our next show: a new, darkly funny adaption of A Christmas Carol! Set in a 1930s Alpine town where fascism threatens Christmas, you've never seen Dickens' beloved festive story like this before!
Directed by Marcus Coenen and adapted by Hugh Mackay. We are casting adults and children in our most ambitious show yet!
About the play.
Ebenezer Scrooge is rebranding Christmas as "Xmas", stripped-down, profit-first, at the expense of loyal clerk Bob Cratchit's family, including ailing Tiny Tim. Then, Jacob Marley returns from the dead as a warning.
Three spirits. One impossible night. A past reckoned with and a future where greed opens the door to something far darker.
