In the New Year we put on a family pantomine with several performances including a Saturday afternoon matinee. During the summer we present a number of concert evenings of popular music from different shows. That's followed by a concert at the Llandrindod Victorian Festival. We round off the year with a traditional presentation of one of Gilbert and Sullivan's operettas.
We are a truly local company who always appreciate support from an enthusiastic audience, so please come along and join in the fun. We are sure that you won't be disappointed.
The society is always looking to recruit new members. Whether you prefer to sing, act, dance or work backstage, you can expect a very warm welcome. All effort is rewarded and rehearsals are enjoyed by all. Why not give it a go? The group generally meets in Kington on Friday evenings from 7:30 to about 9:30, with more rehearsals as performances approach. It's hard work, but a lot of fun as you can see below...

Email: info@llanelliyouththeatre.co.uk
Llanelli Youth Theatre was formed in 1984 by a group of youngsters, with a view to establishing a theatre company with a professional attitude. It was the result of demands made by young people who wished to present their own productions and work in all aspects of the theatre. Its aim was to present quality drama, while at the same time involving young people.
Since 1984 we have constantly been changing and developing our aims and ideas, but ‘Youth’ remains central to all our functions.
Today the Youth Theatre can boast to be a dynamic and innovative company that encourages young people to accept responsibility as well as to maximise their potential through raising their self-confidence and artistic potential.

Loose Cannons are probably one of the smallest theatre companies in the Principality, consisting of only three full-time members! But with over 50 years of performing between them, they have been very successful since their inauguration in 1999.
They stage two major productions per year as well as competing in several drama festivals. They have performed at festivals in England, Wales and Ireland, but their greatest success came in 2005, when they took the award for "Best Staged Production" at the All-Wales One-Act Drama Final in Colwyn Bay.
They have recently won the Anglesey One-Act Drama Festival 2006 with one of their own plays, "A Perfect Day". This script will be available for performance from June 2006. Visit their website for more information.
