HADS (Horsell Amateur Dramatic Society) is the oldest drama group in the area, having been formed in 1922. Our purpose is to put on plays and similar forms of theatre for the public's entertainment.
Twice a year we put on full-length plays at the Rhoda McGaw Theatre in Woking, as well as entering the Festival of one-act plays run by the Woking Drama Association at the same venue.
In addition, we put on several performances in our parish hall in Horsell, a village close to Woking centre. As well as these productions, we hold social events for all members and friends who are invited to join us either as actors, backstage crew or audience.
We are always happy to welcome new people of any age, ability or interest.
In the first instance, please emaila us with your name, telephone number and email address and we will get in touch with you to have a chat about the society and where your interest lies.

Kenley Holiday Workshop is an established theatre company for young people aged from 8 to 18 years who spend a fortnight of their summer holidays each year preparing and presenting a full scale musical under the expert guidance of a talented professional production team.
For the summer show KHW meets at the beginning of August for a week of all day rehearsals in Caterham before moving to the Barn Theatre, Oxted, Surrey for the second week of final rehearsals and performances from the Wednesday to Saturday.
Their shows are performed to critical acclaim from local press and NODA and have been nominated for NODA awards. There are no auditions to join, but the summer workshop is limited to 50. Places are filled from a waiting list and all principal roles are cast from within the company at auditions in May.
The Company was founded in 1989 by Sally Dallosso and Andrea Green. In setting up the company the Co-Founders wanted to provide an opportunity for youngsters to spend some of their summer holidays developing character and social skills through the medium of dance, music and drama. Many ex-members have now gone on to make the stage their chosen career.
There is a fee to participate which is reviewed each year. A limited number of bursaries are available.
Some years KHW stages extra shows at Easter or in September and they have been invited to participate in various charity shows.

Drama in Kingswood has an outstanding reputation and a faithful following. At its inception in 1980, it functioned under the banner of the KVCA. This proved so successful that after ten years, a separate drama committee was formed, known as KADDS (Kingswood Amateur Drama and Dance Society) to continue the wide variety of productions, which included classical and modern drama, comedies, thrillers, pantomimes, revues and Christmas shows.
100% of all profits are given to the KVCA for the upkeep of the hall, and this benefits Kingswood Village generally, by keeping the subscriptions of other hall users as low as possible. In order to continue the high standard and variety of productions at KADDS, we welcome interest from the local community, not only on stage and backstage, but through our audiences.
Over the years Kingston Vale Theatre Group has attracted talented singers from all over the region who have performed in many of our musical theatre productions.
Having realised that some of these people are keen to be in a regular vocal group and enjoy learning and performing harmonies, we have launched the KV Choir.
The KV Choir sings a vast range of music, from gospel tunes to popular musical theatre songs. With singers trained from early ages, who have sung for most of their lives, and with a musical director that is professionally trained to lead such a strong group, the KV Choir is one that will leave people wanting more.
Should you wish to join the KV Choir then come and sign up to KVTG, if you're not a member already, and then we can invite you to one of weekly rehearsals for a very gentle audition. We are a welcoming bunch!
If you enjoy acting, singing, dancing or would like to learn about the technical side and help out backstage then come and join us!
To become a member (take part in shows, helping backstage, joining all our socials) then all you need to do is sign up then come along and audition for one of our various shows, or even the KV Choir prior to one of their rehearsals. If you would like to support us, which is just as important, if not more, then why not become a Patron?
If you have anything that you would like to ask us or hear more about, or even if you would like to send us a photo to put on the website, please fill out the form on our website 'Contacts' page. We will get back to you as soon as we possibly can.

To join KVYT, all we require is a membership fee per child, which enables your child to receive audition and show information, and to participate in shows and auditions.
If, after talking to us and perhaps visiting a show or rehearsal, you would like your child to be in a show, then we kindly ask for a show fee, which goes towards rehearsal venue costs, theatre costs, sound, lighting, licensing and more, and can vary depending on what the show is and where it's held.
Would you like your child/ children to join KVYT, but want to see us in action? Then please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
