Facebook  Twitter

Woodley Light Operatic Society is an amateur musical society in Woodley, Berkshire, performing two musical shows each year. This is usually a summer musical and a winter operetta - everything from Cole Porter to Gilbert and Sullivan.
WLOS has been putting on shows since 1968, and, with loyal audiences coming back each time, continues its tradition of combining high standards with lots of fun for its members.
Membership is made up of people of all ages and occupations, with a wide range of experience from beginners to those with many years of doing shows.
Whilst most members are performers, many too get involved in numerous other aspects of putting on a show - such as marketing and publicity, wardrobe, sets, props, box-office, backstage, make-up, ushering at the theatre on show nights, etc.

Youth of Banbury Operatic Society

YOBOS (Youth of Banbury Operatic Society) was created in 2003 and is an exciting music theatre project for young people living in the Banbury area. We can give you a taste of what it takes to star in a musical - on stage and behind the scenes.
Our parent group, Banbury Operatic Society, is known for its high standard of musical theatre and YOBOS have met this same high standard with their previous productions of Bugsy Malone, Honk!, Anything Goes, Barnum, Fame - The Musical, Hot Mikado, Crazy for You and The Little Shop of Horrors over the past eight years.
Our 2011 production was Hairspray. This show was an outstanding success, and followed an eight day intensive course in August 2010.
Not content to rest on our laurels, we are already busy planning our 2012 show - to celebrate 10 years of YOBOS!
Join us on Facebook
If you want to know more about YOBOS and are interested in taking part in our 2012 production, please contact us via our website or social media
