Gosforth Musical Society

Gosforth Musical Society (formerly the Gosforth Presbyterian Musical Society, Gosforth United Reformed Church Musical Society and Gosforth Trinity Musical Society) was formed in 1929, and has produced at least one show a year since then (excepting the war years 1940-1944).

We rehearse from September until April, with the chorus meeting on Monday nights from 7.30 - 9.30pm, with a tea break in the middle! Principals have additional rehearsals on Wednesday nights, also 7.30 - 9.30pm. Currently, we rehearse at the Christian Community Centre on Freeman Road (down the hill from the Freeman Hospital - map here ). Our main show will be in the theatre at the Royal Grammar School in Jesmond, while our concerts have been presented at a number of different venues around Newcastle.
