Chorley Old Road Methodist Church Community Hall

The name 'Marco' is a combination of 'Saint Margaretís' (Mar) and 'Chorley Old Road' (co).
It was the closure of the Saint Margaretís drama group and their need for a new venue in 1981 that led them to Chorley Old Road Methodist Church.
After a meeting between Jeanne Lonnen (Director at St. Margaretís) and the elders of this church, it was agreed that a drama group could be formed.
Recruiting people from the new church and combining them with existing members of St. Margaretís, the new group was tentatively named 'The Marco Players'.
It was decided that the new group would perform the evergreen play 'When we are Married' by JB Priestly.
The rest is history...
We are always on the look out for new members. If you like what we do then why not join us? There are many areas both on and off stage where people of all ages can be involved. We would welcome more members who would like to take part with acting, set building, wardrobe, lighting and sound.
