Recent productions have included old favourites; Snow White, Dick Whittington, Sinbad and Beauty and the beast. However, since the Entertainers were formed over 40 years ago, we have produced, every one of the traditional pantomimes as well as a few that are not.
Auditions are usually held in early September and productions are usually staged in early December. Newcomers are always welcome to our group for on stage or backstage, ABSOLUTELY NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY and our members are from all age groups. Flackwell Heath / Wooburn Green

We are a newly formed, friendly amateur dramatic group in the South Bucks area. We meet every Monday and Wednesday (apart from the first Wednesday of the month) at the Flackwell Heath Community Centre between 8:00pm - 9:30pm. Current ages of members are between 13 and 40 (with the vast majority being in the 14-20 range).
We're always looking for new members both on the stage, and to help with lights, sound, backstage, costumes and front of house.
If you want to join in, just turn up to see what we're all about! The best bit is, you don't have to pay unless you're part of a production (and even then it's just £5 as we're a non for profit in it for the good of the community).

We produce four performances each year (one for each season). Winter is our anual Pantomime which we perform 9 times (over three weekends) during January. Spring and Autumn are usually plays or musicals which have ranged from Shakespeare to modern day thrillers. Summer we produce a review show usually based around a theme e.g. 2010 is based around the theme of \‘Hollywood\’.
Age Range: The minimum age is 14 years old.
Summer Shows in the past have been of very high standards and we hope we can deliver the standards expected and add new memories to the ever growing list of fantastic LEP moments. So if you want to see Scarlet O\’Hara looking a little worse for wear and the guys from Hogwarts rocking the night away, then come along to this years Summer Show and hopefully we can conjure up a little bit of that Hollywood magic that have excited audiences from many years and I\’m sure many years to come!
Rehearsals: We rehearse every Thursday and Sunday. Performances are always Friday and Saturday.
We always welcome new members. If performing on stage isn’t your thing then we have a very wide range of other activities. Lighting, sound, stage management, props, costume design, make-up, set-design, set painting and even Producing and Directing.
The Lane End Players are always pleased to welcome new members to all areas of production, whether you fancy treading the boards, lighting the action, organising backstage, sewing and stitching costumes or helping with publicity, we would love to hear from you! Any enquiries, please contact us.
If you have not been involved with the Lane End Players before, please contact our Membership Secretary Georgie Brooks via Georgina@FamilyBrooks.co.uk for more information.

The Young Theatre

Beaconsfield

Young Theatre has produced over 100 productions in its 46 year history. Many were written specifically for the group by Ian R Wallace, Mark Britton, and Mike Wicherek. The latter took three one act plays to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 1983. The group has performed everything from musicals to Shakespeare and Pinter to Euripides. The group revived the Beaconsfield Family Pantomime in 2009 with Cinderella..
Young Theatre has enjoyed success in local one act play festivals, winning over 120 awards. In 2004 the prodcution of Ball Boys won the All England Theatre Festival, taking all three trophies at the final. It went on to represent England in the British final, where Young Theatre became the first youth group to win. A staggering acheivement.
The Young Theatre is not just about performers. The group relies very heavily on a team of young theatre technicians and young business people - who may also perform, if they wish.
Our technicians do everything from design to costing to construction/implementation of set, lighting, costume and sound.
The group also needs business minded young people to handle all the groupís marketing activities from the website to press to box office, the groupís finances from planning to cash-flow to accounting, the group ís administration from membership records to minuting meetings to organising social events.
All we ask is an interest in theatre and a commitment to excellence.
We meet nearly every Sunday between 2pm and 5.30pm at The Curzon Centre, Beaconsfield

We welcome new members.
That does not just mean that we want new members, but that we do, indeed, welcome them.
We have a proud tradition of being a friendly, open group of people and we are determinedly non-cliquey. If you join us wanting to act, then do not worry that you will have to take your place in a lengthy queue for a leading part, you may well find yourself in such a role faster than you thought!
We aim to make the most of the talents of all our members; we have no acting hierarchy - everybody gets a chance to show what they can do and to progress. There are no dead mens shoes in TTB!
If your interests are in one of the back-stage disciplines; lighting, sound, set construction, costume, etc., then you will be particularly welcome, as these are roles that are always difficult to fill.
You can always come along to one of our regular Monday meetings, where you will receive a warm welcome. We will be happy to tell you what we are about, what our plans are and show you how you could fit in.
The group meets most Mondays (Bank Holidays often excluded) from 7.30pm to 10.00pm at Wavendon Gate Pavilion, Isaacson Drive, Wavendon Gate, Milton Keynes, Bucks.
