We are a mixed age group between 18 and 70 years of age. Membership is free.
We have been running for 71 years and perform two productions per year in Ampthill Parkside Hall for three nights as well as participating in other local activities and events, eg. Aragon day, Gala Day etc. We have a dedicate facility for set building and equipment/costume storage.
We generally meet for rehearsals every Monday evening at 8:00pm at the Parkside Hall in Woburn Road Ampthill (usually Sept to Nov and Feb to April) but in any case have a club night there on the first Monday evening of each month where we have play readings, auditions, and beverages etc. We welcome prospective new members (actors or otherwise), on these evenings for a chance to see what we do. Contact us through our website or just turn up.
We have a social callendar which includes after show parties, visiting other group plays, theatres, dining out, Christmas dinner and awards ceremony, backstage visits to theatres or BBC studios etc.

Barton Players

Welcome to the Barton Players website. Since 1984, Barton Players have been producing a wide variety of plays and musicals for the local audience here in Barton-le-Clay in Bedfordshire. We pride ourselves on being a friendly welcoming and sociable group. As well as our two main productions each year, we also produce a Summer School for the local youngsters and regularly enter one-act play festivals. We have also recently started to produce fringe productions that are perhaps slightly different to what we are known for. All in all, we have a large, well attended society that meets the needs of all of our members and our varied audiences.

Bedford Drama Company is a community theatre group with a rich history of producing high quality shows since 1929.
We produce 3 or 4 plays a year across a mix of drama, comedy, classic and contemporary pieces. We stage most of our productions at The Place, Bradgate Road which is one of the Bedfordshire’s premier performance venues.
All of our cast, crew, directors, set builders, costume designers, front of house team etc. are volunteers. However, we always say that our audiences are the paying professionals; when you buy a ticket for our shows we promise not to disappoint!

The Little Theatre is the home of the Dunstable Rep. Six amateur shows are performed annually in the 99 seat auditorium, together with a thriving programme of additional performances.
The company was founded in 1945 and performed at the old Town Hall.
2008 saw us commemorate our move to the Little Theatre 40 years ago. Originally a library, the Little Theatre was opened by the Carry On star Bernard Breslaw in October 1968.

Fairfield Players

We are a Stotfold based drama group who have been established for more than 30 years.Fairfield Players were established at the Fairfield Hospital primarily as a pastime for hospital staff.Their efforts were originally presented for the amusement and entertainment of patients.
The group expanded and became founder members of the Bedfordshire Drama Association, and over the years have produced many plays, progressing to the second round of the all England One Act Drama Festival on at least three occasions.
Since the closure of Fairfield Hospital the Players have relocated to the Stotfold Memorial Hall (just down the road!). Sadly, the connections with the Hospital are all but gone, but the Players are proud to maintain the name.
The players now present at least three Plays per year, and are a regular feature of Stotfold's Carnival week.
With many acknowledgements for acting and production to their credit they are a worthwhile group to join: either front of house, on stage or back stage.
