SYM X: VENGEANCE
SCENE 1:SUDDEN DEATH
Fade in:
Hospital:(Early Morning)
We are drifting down a hospital corridor
looking about the rooms. Doctors nurses, and patient's are going about there
business. We slow to a stop, on "Room 2165". We see mike and jack
talking who is laying in bed exhausted. We drift into the room, then stop.
MIKE ALLEN
It's glad to have, you back jack! Thought
we'd lost you for good. Do you remember anything?
JACK WALKER
(Sighs) Nope! Nothing.
But I feel...different! Stronger but... weak at the same time. It's...
strange.
MIKE ALLEN
Hm! Don't worry we'll have you, fixed in no
time. (smiles)
(Jacob
enters the room.)
JACOB CAGE
How are you feeling sir?
JACK WALKER
Fine Jacob! Just fine! Settling in ok?
JACOB CAGE(LAUGHS)
Just about sir!
JACK WALKER
(Smiles)Good!
(A
doctor enters the room.)
DOCTOR
Excuse me gentleman. But visiting time, is
over. I'm afraid you'll have to leave.
MIKE ALLEN
Doctor! May I have a word with you?
(The
doctor and mike exit the room.)
Jack sits up and peers out into the
corridor, and looks in interest at the doctor and mike then uneasily lies back
down on the bed.
JACK WALKER(LAUGHS)
There probably trying, to make my life
misery. Keeping me cooped up here.
JACOB CAGE
I don't think they need to try sir.(laughs)
(Mike
signals his good-byes. Jack returns the gesture the doctor re-enters the room.)
DOCTOR
Time for your, medication Mr. Walker.
The doctor administers the medication.
Moments pass, then suddenly jack sits bolt upright. And screams in agonizing
pain. Suddenly four other doctors come rushing into the room. They quickly
usher Jacob out of the room. Jack's screams stops. One of the doctors come out.
DOCTOR
I am afraid he's...gone!
JACOB CAGE(HORRIFIED)
What...Happened?
DOCTOR
A severe reaction to, the medication. At
least it was quick.
(Mike
Allen comes rushing up the corridor panting for breath.)
MIKE
ALLEN(Panting)
I came as soon as I was beeped. What's
wrong?
DOCTOR
As I told your friend. A severe reaction,
to the drugs I had administered. His death was quick. But it wasn't painless.
I'm...sorry.
(The
doctor walks away.)
MIKE ALLEN
Rest in peace jack! Jacob I want a, DNA
sample collected. And to be taken back to NEI for testing.
JACOB CAGE
Sir? He hasn't long passed away. And you
want to run tests, on him? Excuse me but isn't that..wrong?
MIKE ALLEN
We must find out the, cause of death. It is
procedure Jacob.
Fade to black.
Fade In.
Lab:(Mid Afternoon)
We see Jacob approach a microscope.
Carrying the slide of DNA, which he places under the microscope. He leans into
the microscope for a closer look.
JACOB CAGE
Well I'll be...
He is cut off mid sentence, when suddenly
some unknown force grabs him. He try's to fend off his unseen attacker but
fails. Suddenly he stops resisting. His eyes and veins flash bright purple for
a brief second then fade.
JACOB CAGE
What was that?
The camera fades to black.
End of scene 1
SCENE 2:REBORN
Fade in:
Apartment:(Mid-Morning)
We are in Jacobs apartment it reflects his
career. Expensive furniture, television and hi-fi system are strewn about the
apartment. We see Jacob sleeping. He suddenly wakes up then sits up and
clutches his head and groans.
JACOB CAGE
What was I drinking at, that party last
night!
(A
voice issues out of nowhere)
VOICE
You were at no party Jacob. I had to
adjust, your body's chemistry.
(Jacob
frantically searches to find out where the voice is coming
from.)
JACOB CAGE
Who are you? My wallet is on my bedside table.
Take what you need, and get out!
VOICE(LAUGHS)
I am not an intruder Jacob. Nor I mean you
no harm. I will explain things in due time. But I am here, for one reason.
JACOB CAGE
And what would, that be exactly?
VOICE
To prevent someone I know. Coming back to
fulfill, his evil ambition.
JACOB CAGE
And who, that might that...
(He
is cut off mid-sentence by his doorbell ringing.)
Jacob gets up from the couch, and sways
uneasily then regains his balance, he peers into the peep-hole. And press's a
button and walks away from the door. The door slides open, and mike enters the
apartment.
MIKE ALLEN
Ah! Good, you're here!
JACOB CAGE
Sir? This is...unexpected, but please, sit
down.
(Mike
sits down on the couch.)
MIKE ALLEN
We have a...situation! The sample you
collected has been stolen. The evidence we have collected so far was, nothing
but shards of broken glass. Which was left of the slide.
JACOB CAGE
Are you, accusing me of...
MIKE ALLEN(LAUGHS)
No! Not at all. We are simply investigating
at this stage. But if you know, anything. Please let me know.
(Mike
gets up and leaves. Jacob sits back down.)
VOICE
He is not to be trusted Jacob.
JACOB CAGE
Why?
VOICE
He will betray you, given the right
opportunity. He has done it once before. To my recently deceased friend jack.
JACOB CAGE
You knew jack?
VOICE
In a manner of speaking, yes. We
were...close. But that is a discussion for another time. Mike will surely tell,
the new director of the board. And he will review the lab tapes. And will see,
what happens. So we must find somewhere we cannot be found.
JACOB CAGE
Hold on a second here! I want to know who
this person is, that you're obviously frightened of. Coming back to do whatever
you say he is going to do.
VOICE
I will tell you, in due time Jacob. But we
must hurry. The further we delay the better the chance NEI forces will have,
arresting you. And subjecting you to questioning.
JACOB CAGE
For some unknown reason, I trust you. So
what's the plan?
VOICE
First we must go to, your ex-girlfriends
apartment. I am sure she will help us. Secondly my name is Riyal. I am a highly
intelligent, energy being. I am sure you know all bout me!
JACOB CAGE(SURPRISED)
So you're X, I mean...What jack was trying
to tell me. But I...Didn't believe him... until now!

End of scene 2
SCENE 3:UNWELCOME RETURN
Morgue:(Late Evening)
Slow fade in from black
We are inside the morgue in NEI
headquarters. We drift between the
tables, with bodies covered with white sheets, until it reaches one, with the
sheet pulled down. It is the body of pryius. Who is burnt and clenching his
teeth. a young mortician is pacing about the body, dictating notes into the
nearby computer.
MORTICIAN
Subject was found after being thrown out.
What appeared to be, some-kind of conduit. Subject had no signs of li...
Suddenly pryius uneasily stands up and
without warning grabs the mortician. Who is unable to get away. A dark purple
flash is seen. pryius has taken over the morticians body. He catches himself in
a mirror, looking at himself with slight disgust.
PRYIUS
Hmm! A loathsome vessel but I suppose it will
suffice... for now. Now I will have my
revenge. But I must get out, of this place.
Pryius walks slowly to the entrance of the
morgue. He try's to pull the door open, but to no avail. He bangs the door in
frustration. He tries again this time it opens.
PRYIUS
Finally! Now to get out of here.
(He
stumbles and leans against a wall.)
PRYIUS
(cont.)
I need to regain my strength first. After
my long, hibernation. And barely surviving what that... Traitor did to me. But
I must feed...
(Pryius
sniffs the air.)
Ah! Yes! That will do, nicely. The main
reactor will give me the strength I need.
Pryius is spotted by a guard, who comes
running up to him.
GUARD
Are you alright sir?
PRYIUS
Yes I...I am fine. I just feel, a
little...Unwell.
GUARD
Shall I take you to the medical wing?
PRYIUS
NO! I mean... No! I will be ok.
The guard nods, and walks away.
PRYIUS
Hm! Humans!
(Pyrius
closes his eyes in concentration and clenches his fists.)
A dull purple glow emulates from pryius. It
brightens then quickly fades.
PRYIUS
Hm! It seems I am too weak to tele-port. I
suppose I will have to use the humans technology. Though it is demeaning, I
suppose small sacrifices must be made.
Pryius pushes himself away from the wall
and walks to a nearby elevator. The elevator doors slide open, pryius steps in.
He presses the button which is marked "Level 24", then the doors
slide closed
MOMENTS LATER...
Pryius exits the elevator, the light from
the elevator briefly lightens up his surroundings then back to darkness. All we
see is his eyes straining against the dark.
PRYIUS
This will not do.
(His
eyes flash briefly)
Suddenly the hallway is lit up, and we see
our surroundings. Pryius walks to the reactor room. He tries to open the door.
But it doesn't budge. He clenches his fists then tries again, crying aloud with
anger as he forces the door open. The door snaps opens and smiles as he eyes up
the reactor. Then slowly walks towards it and stops
PRYIUS
This energy will give me the nourishment I
need.
(He
walks up to the reactor but is blocked by a force-field.)
COMPUTER
Access to the central core, is restricted.
PRYIUS(SHOUTING)
I WILL NOT BE DENIED!!!
Pryius thrust's his hand through the
force-field and forcefully draws the cores energy to him. And lets the energy
sweep over him, again and again until he has had his fill.
PRYIUS
Much better! Now to the matter at hand.
Hear me Rahaan, I am coming for...YOU!!

End of scene 3
SCENE 4:BETRAYED
City Streets:(Afternoon)
We see we are in the city. We follow a taxi
until it stops outside, a very daunting sky scraper. Jacob get outs out and
tips the driver.
JACOB CAGE
Thanks!
(The
taxi pulls away)
You sure this is a good idea?
RIYAL
I am uncertain but I am sure she will help
us.
JACOB CAGE
I don't know about that riyal. She was
totally against the idea, of me joining NEI. And being part of the research
team.
RIYAL
You called me by my name.
JACOB CAGE
Well we are on first name terms now aren't
we?
RIYAL(LAUGHS)
I guess, we are Jacob. Now shall we...?
JACOB CAGE
Yeah! Here goes nothing.
We follow Jacob as he enters the building
and approach a white door. He gently raps the door and waits. The door is
opened slightly.
WOMAN
Yes can I he...Oh! Its you! What do you
want? I told you, I'm not taking you back.
JACOB CAGE
Jennifer! Will you shut up. For one second,
and listen.
JENNIFER SWANSON
What?
JACOB CAGE
Can you at least let me in?
(Jennifer
unbolts the door.)
JENNIFER
SWANSON(Sighs)
Come on in!
We follow Jacob as he enters the apartment,
through to the living room. Which has really expensive furniture. Jennifer
signals him to sit down.
JENNIFER SWANSON
What's this all about? Look! Me and tony
are happy. Why can't you accept that?
JACOB CAGE
I don't give a crap, about you and tony. I
came here because I need your help.
JENNIFER SWANSON
Why?
JACOB CAGE
Jack died at the hospital, and I was
ordered to take a sample of his DNA back for testing. But... the sample was...
Alive!
JENNIFER SWANSON
What are you saying? You mean that,
experiment you were working on, is an...alien?
JACOB CAGE
Yes! But they cant know about this.
JENNIFER SWANSON
Being in that place has, corrupted your
mind. You're hallucinating. I'm calling NEI right away.
(Jennifer
rushes to the phone)
RIYAL
I would advise, not to do that.
(Jennifer
turns around and is horrified at Jacob's now purple eyes)
Do not be afraid miss Swanson.! My name is
Riyal
JENNIFER SWANSON
Wh...who are you?
RIYAL
That is a conversation left for...
Suddenly the door is burst open. Nei forces
surround jack and cuff him. Then a man in a very expensive suit, enters the
room.
MAN
I knew this would be, your first port of
call. Cage
(Jacob's
eyes are still purple)
RIYAL
You're the new, director... Nick!
NICK SAMSON
Interesting you know my name. But this time
you'll not escape that easily. True, you had a little help from jack. And found
out his...nature. I'll take great pleasure in dissecting you piece by piece.
RIYAL
You won't find that so...
NICK SAMSON
Easy? Our research department is quite,
resourceful. I'm sure they'll find a way.
(Riyal
turns to Jennifer.)
RIYAL
I will NOT forget what you've done miss
Swanson. You and I, WILL meet again.
NICK SAMSON
Take him!
RIYAL
I will NOT forget....Jennifer
Fade to black
Fade in
Nei Holding Cell:(Early Evening)
We see Jacob looking agitated. He is pacing
about the cell nervously.
JACOB CAGE
How long are they going to keep asking the
same questions!
RIYAL
Until you have given up. And you've stopped
resisting.
JACOB CAGE
I don't think I can...
VOICE
Well, well, well!
We
see is a man casually dressed, but also wearing a lab coat.
MAN
I'd knew you couldn't, hide for long Jacob.
JACOB CAGE
Reese! I knew you would be behind this.
REESE JOHNSON
I hate to admit it but Mr. Samson was very
interested. When I had told him your... progress(Laughs)
JACOB CAGE
It was you that turned me in. I knew my
promotion, would turn you against me.
REESE JOHNSON
I was the better qualified. Not you! You
were just fresh out of university. And new to the company. But you waltzed
right in and...TAKEN THE JOB, THAT WAS RIGHTFULLY MINE. (Cough) But after I
prove that, you're hiding the alien within you. You will be the one to call me
sir.
(Reese
walks away)
JACOB CAGE
Now what!
RIYAL
We must get out of this place, Jacob.
I...sensed something from Reese. Something that felt...familiar. But to the
task at hand. We must find you're friend Joseph Becker, I am confident he will
help us. By reading you're thoughts. I know you two were friends.
JACOB CAGE
How exactly are we going to get out of
here. Without being seen.
RIYAL
You leave that to me.
Jacob begins to glow purple, then fades
into thin air.
Fade to black.
End of scene 4
SCENE 5:REACQUAINTED
Countryside:(Late Afternoon)
We see we are in the countryside. We see a
huge country house. Then we see a purple glow, then Jacob fades in from thin
air.
JACOB CAGE
Whoa! That was...amazing!
RIYAL
It is one of my...I mean our, powers. I
believe we have arrived at our...destination. This is where, Joseph now lives.
Am I correct?
JACOB CAGE
Yeah! He moved here a few years ago. And
started with the institution. They started out, the same time as NEI. But now
they surpass the company. In terms of research and funding.
RIYAL
You were also asked to join. But you
declined! Why?
(Jacob
doesn't answer.)
You had your reasons, I understand.
Jacob walks through the open gate we see
men carrying equipment, and going about there business. He continues walking to
the back of the house. We see other equipment and scientists, running test's
and diagnostics on a portal-shaped device. A casually dressed man is standing
watching. And giving orders.
MAN
Make sure the power lev...
(He
is cut off mid-sentence and he is greeted by Jacob smiling. He returns the smile
and hugs Jacob.)
MAN
My god! Jacob its been too long. How are
you, and how are things at NEI?
JACOB CAGE
Good! Yeah it has been too long.
JOSEPH BECKER
So... how's the project coming along?
JACOB CAGE
Actually Joe that's why I'm here, to talk
to you about.
JOSEPH BECKER
What? Are you in some kind, of trouble? If
you are I can help. What do you need? Money? A New identity?
JOSEPH BECKER (LAUGHS)
No!I need a place to, lay low for a while.
Well we both do.
JOSEPH BECKER
We?
(Jacob's
eyes change to purple)
RIYAL
Hello...Joseph. It is good to see you
again.
JOSEPH BECKER
Riyal? I thought you were...dead! After the
torture we, put you through.
RIYAL
I am more resilient than you think Joseph.
I forgive what you did. All of you, including jack. He gave his life to protect
me. But he is...dead. The sample which I, hid in was the only way. As you know
Joseph, I need a host to...Survive. The rest I think you know.
JOSEPH BECKER
Jack...Dead? I think I know how! Reaction to medication.
I've seen them do it before. Damn!
(A
scientist comes up to Joseph. Jacobs eyes change back to normal)
SCIENTIST
Excuse me sir! You have, a visitor!
Wee see a sleek black limousine pull up.
Joseph whispers a place to hide in Jacob's ear. He runs, and hides. At the same
time four men in black suits step out, then does nick Samson. He casually walks
up to Joseph.
JOSEPH BECKER
I thought I told you I'm not interested.
And no amount of money, is going to change my mind.
NICK SAMSON
I'm not here to change you're mind. Where
is Jacob? I know he is here.
JOSEPH BECKER
Even if he was. I wouldn't tell you.
NICK SAMSON
Answer my question, or...
JOSEPH BECKER
Or what? Have me killed?! You forget nick,
I don't work for NEI. I am with the Institution. You cant bully me
anymore. So don't even... ATTEMPT IT.
My... superior is powerful than you. You come here again I'll see to it. That
you are locked up.
Nick signals his men to get into the
limousine. It quickly pulls away, spinning it's wheels as it does. Jacob comes
out of his hiding place. His eyes changing purple as he does.
RIYAL
I can assume he has gone. I believe that
will not be the last. We see of him.
JOSEPH BECKER
He's ruthless. You'll need to know, every
trick in the book. To get past him.
(Jacobs
eyes change back to normal)
JACOB CAGE
Look Joe thanks! But I cant stay here. Not
only am I putting you at risk also myself.
We have to go somewhere...safe.
JOSEPH BECKER (LAUGHS)
I know!
(Without
warning, Jacob fades in and out. Joseph steps back uneasily. Then Jacob returns
to normal. He looks at himself. He is more muscular than before.)
JOSEPH BECKER
Somebody has been working out!
JACOB CAGE (ANGRILY)
What the hell was that? Don't ever, do that
again.
RIYAL
Sorry! But I had no control over it. It's
what happens, when we regenerate. I also get the feeling we are
being...watched!
JACOB CAGE
By who?
RIYAL
I...don't know...yet, but...We must go! We
cant stay here.
Fade to black
End of scene 5
SCENE 6:DEAD OR ALIVE
NEI Boardroom:(Night)
We are in Nei Headquarters inside a
boardroom. Which is in total darkness, only the moonlight is illuminating the
room. Nick Samson is having a discussion with another man who we can't see.
NICK SAMSON
Sir! He won't be pushed!
MAN
You're not pushing hard enough! Everyone
nick has, there breaking point.
NICK SAMSON
I don't think he....
MAN
I don't pay you to think. I pay you, to get
results. I want Jacob alive. I will avenge my fathers death. Even if the alien,
is inside Jacob. He will pay the price as well. As jack...
Park Bench:(Night)
Jacob is sitting, contemplating his next
move. He shakes his head.
JACOB CAGE
What?... Did I do that?
RIYAL
I am astounded Jacob! Our minds are rapidly
becoming one. As for my powers, they're becoming yours. You were able to see
through nick's eye's. Even I don't possess, such an ability. And find out what
was going on.
JACOB CAGE
What's our next move?
RIYAL
We must go back to jack's apartment. I
believe we will, find the...answer...
(A
mist-like form whizzes past Jacob who is taken aback. We see it heads in the
direction of jack's apartment it stops turns round and looks at Jacob directly
and smiles. And continues on its direction.)
JACOB CAGE
I know that...face! Was that...Jack?
RIYAL
I... He must be a true...ryhillian!
JACOB CAGE
What?
RIYAL
Our bodies and mind in life are one. But
after death, we can choose to die. Or live on! We can safely say he chose the
latter. (Laughs) I knew he, would be stubborn. He must want us to go to his
apartment.
We follow Jacob as he enters jacks
apartment building then as he enters then exits the elevator. At the floor
where jacks apartment is. The door lies on one hinge, almost broken in two. His
eyes change to purple and clenches his fists, and slowly enters the apartment.
The apartment has been ransacked, the only light in the room comes from a small
table lamp buried under a pile of research folders. The small table lies broken
in half. The rest of the apartment is the same.
JACOB CAGE
Looks like they took all the expensive
stuff.
RIYAL
Yes! NEI took back, the apartment. As soon
as jack.....
JACOB CAGE
I know!
(Without
warning the ghost-like figure rushes past Jacob. Then stops, and turns to face
him. Jacob steps back scared. The ghost-like figure takes on a humanoid form.
He is shocked to see it is jack. Jacob's eyes change to bright purple.)
RIYAL
Jack? Is it...really you?
JACK WALKER
Yes old friend it's me(Smiles). After I
died I saw the...elders. They asked me, if I wished to join them. Or live on! I
knew...somehow that you had survived. Jacob I thank you for saving my friend.
RIYAL
He didn't save me jack. I had to bond with
him. As I did, with you. I suspect by now that NEI, know about me again. And
that I have, taken refuge within Jacob.
JACK WALKER
I don't think they will give up. Until they
have you.
RIYAL
That's not all! I think pryius has
survived, as well enlightened one.
JACK WALKER(LAUGHS)
Even though I'm dead, you still call me
that.
RIYAL
You still are in essence enlightened one.
JACK WALKER
I sense....someone is watching you, but
they are...hidden from my presence. Be on your guard the both of you.
(Jacob
nods and his eyes change back to normal)
You must not let them find you. Jacob I ask
only this, help Riyal. If Pryius has come back. You will need Riyal's help to
become something. Far greater than you, have ever imagined.
JACOB CAGE
What!
JACK WALKER
In due time Jacob, In due time!
Jack fades into thin air.
JACOB CAGE
Great! Now wha... arggh!
(Jacob
is gripped by severe pain and levitates and is surrounded by a bright purple
glow. The glow quickly fades. He is slightly more taller and he remains in the
air.)
JACOB CAGE
What the?.....
RIYAL
It seems we are becoming one more, quickly
than I expected.
(He
gracefully comes back down to the floor. He catches his reflection in a cracked
mirror. He slowly walk to the mirror and peers into the mirror. He is taken
aback slightly. But quickly gets used to his new physique.)
JACOB CAGE
Not bad! Not bad at all! Is that good?
RIYAL
Yes! But we must be cautious. I sense that
nick. Has released his, new but untested...Experiment! To find us...Seeker!
JACOB CAGE
Oh crap!
RIYAL
Indeed! So we must be cautious.

End of scene 6
SCENE 7:OLD FACES
City Streets Day:(Late Morning)
We see pryius running down the city
streets, and firing energy at his pursuers. Cursing them as he jumps from one
body to another. Two of the remaining guards release two dogs who's eyes are
purple after him. He blasts the dogs one by one then stops running suddenly.
And turns round sharply, and grins.
PRYIUS
I quite enjoyed that little chase!
GUARD
Don't make me hurt you! Come quietly...or
else!
PRYIUS
Ha! You forget humans, I am more powerful
than...you! But you underestimated, me. Didn't you? Even
your...director...Nick!
(The
guards look shocked)
Yes... I know all about nick! He's the one
who sent you and those...seekers! But he thought I would, be so easily caught.
Now you must pay for his...mistake.
Pryius raises a glowing arm at the guards
who begin to run in terror, but are struck with an energy blast. Pryius
casually walks up to them who try to get up. He grins then hits them again with
an energy blast it draws forth some kind of energy. He absorbs it then turns to
the dogs and does the same. He kneels down and smacks the dogs on the nose .
PRYIUS
BAD DOGS!
Fade to black
We see we are some sort of ceremonial
temple, which is barely lit. We see four shrouded figures with glowing blue
eyes. Watching a glowing yellow orb, we see Jacob sitting in a bar with a drink
not drinking it. But swirling it around, while thinking what his next move
should be.

unpredictable. Jacob is...resourceful...but...It will take, more than
resourcefulness. To overcome pryius. We can only watch....

Fade to black
Bar:(Early Afternoon)
We see Jacob sitting still holding the same
drink. The bar door slides open, and pryius walks in to the bar in human guise.
And orders a drink.
PRYIUS
Bartender!
BARTENDER
Yeah?
PRYIUS
Vodka, Straight Shot!
BARTENDER
Sure!
(Jacob
looks at pryius, then back to his drink.)
JACOB CAGE
Bad day huh?(Laughs)
PRYIUS
What is it to you...human?
JACOB CAGE
Huh?!
(Jacob's
eyes change)
Pryius!
PRYIUS
So! You have survived...Old friend.
RIYAL
Barely! No thanks to you! I was sure....
PRYIUS(CACKLES LOUDLY)
But you thought wrong. You are still no
match for me. When you are ready, I will come for you. And this time...YOU WILL
FALL!!!!
(Pryius
vanishes)
RIYAL
He is right, we still are weak. But that
will pass. We must go to the council of elders. We must ask, for there
assistance
JACOB CAGE
Do you think they'll listen?
RIYAL
I hope so! If not then...We must stop

Church:(Morning)
We see Jacob standing outside a dilapidated
church homeless people lying around, some sleeping. Drug addicts are taking
drugs, one of them comes up to Jacob shaking and looking agitated.
JUNKIE
Hey man you got some money? I need to get a
hit man!
JACOB CAGE
No way! Beat it!
JUNKIE
Come on, man!
Jacob grabs the junkie by the throat hard
and flies up to the rooftop. While still choking the junkie who is terrified
and wets his pants a little.
(Jacobs
eyes change)
RIYAL
YOU DARE THREATEN ME? YOU PITIFUL EXCUSE
FOR A...HUMAN! I STRONGLY ADVISE CHANGE YOUR...BEHAVIOR. OTHERWISE I, WILL KILL
YOU.
JACOB CAGE
Easy! Let him go!
RIYAL
As you wish!
Jacob/Riyal floats back down to the ground.
He lets the junkie go who runs in terror.
(Jacobs
eyes change back to normal)
JACOB CAGE
What the hell was that all about?
RIYAL
Sorry! I... Never mind, we must proceed!
(Jacob/Riyal
disappear in a purple flash.)
Cut to int. Temple
Jacob/riyal reappear. The four figures
watch silently has he does. Another figure is just visible, sitting on a
impressive silver chair watching. Jacob/riyal approach the four figures.

needs your attention.

The figure with bright blue eyes sitting in
the chair, slaps his arm rests and stands up.

The four other figures shuffle away.
RIYAL
Grand elder Roselle, it is good to see you
again.
(Jacob/riyal
bows respectably)
GRAND ELDER ROSELLE
And you elder riyal. I always knew you had
a knack for survival(laughs). I am sorry but, we cannot interfere. It has been
that way for along time now. Pryius has become...dangerous. It was not long
after you had joined us. You tried to, stop pryius remember? But you were not
strong enough.
(Jacob's
eyes change to normal)
Ah! Welcome young...Jacob. We are in your
debt.
JACOB CAGE
So! Your the council! Listen! Can you
really help us? What I've seen of pryius. Total whack job! If you don't help
us, then all of us...are doomed.
GRAND ELDER ROSELLE
We would like to, but as I said. He has
become a lot more.... Dangerous!!
JACOB CAGE

GRAND ELDER ROSELLE

A yellow glow illuminates from roselles
cloven hands it envelopes over Jacob until it dissipates.

SCENE 9: DAMAGE CONTROL
Park Bench:(Dusk)

We see Jacob sitting and smoking a
cigarette, wondering what his next move should be.
RIYAL
You're quiet!
JACOB CAGE
Huh? Sorry! Just trying to figure out what
to do!
Cut to int. Apartment
We see a handful of guards and nick talking
comforting Jennifer by holding her hand.
NICK SAMSON
As you can see miss Swanson. Jacob is not
only a threat to others. But also to himself. So we must know, where he is.
JENNIFER SWANSON
Why is he acting like this?
NICK SAMSON
Years of exposure can cause
these...hallucinations. It is imperative, we know where he is...

Park Bench:(Night)
We see Jacob still sitting at the bench
pondering his next move.
RIYAL
We have been sitting here, for quite some
time now. Have you come up with anything?
JACOB CAGE
We can try jacks apartment again. See if
anything else...
Suddenly a large explosion rings out people
start to panic and run wild. Jacob gets up and runs to see what the commotion
is. We see a black cloud from the distance. He knows what has happened.
JACOB CAGE
Oh no!
RIYAL
What?
JACOB CAGE
The abandoned nuclear plant. It cant just,
blow up by itself...Pryius!
RIYAL
How did you know that?
JACOB CAGE
I... sense him...
From out of nowhere we hear pryius laughing
madly, then we see him fly over Jacob he stops then turns to face him.
PRYIUS(LAUGHS)
You're government shouldn't leave things
just lying around. But you are still, no match for me... human
JACOB CAGE(SHOUTING)
YOU THINK THIS IS A GAME? COME DOWN HERE
AND SAY THAT! YOU SON OF A BITCH!
(Jacob
fires a blast of energy at pryius)
PRYIUS(CACKLES)
I
see you have gained a little more power. But that power is useless. Once you
have become more of a...challenge, then we shall meet. But in the mean
time...You're fellow humans need you!(Cackles)
(Pryius
fires at random buildings which explode in balls of fire.)
Pryius flies away.
JACOB CAGE(SHOUTING)
GET BACK HERE!
RIYAL
I have never seen you so angry!
JACOB CAGE
Sorry! We cant just let him, away with what
he's done.
Fire engines and ambulances arrive on the
scene. The firemen, and paramedics, go about there business. Jacob watches
horrified. And knows he cant help. Without warning jack drifts up behind him
Jacob is started, jack signals him to follow. We follow them until they reach
an alleyway then stops.
JACK WALKER
Pryius is a lot, more dangerous now. You
must be careful. To have any chance of stopping him. You must become, more
powerful than him.
JACOB CAGE
Wait!
(Jacob
looks at his eyes, through a broken piece of glass lying on the ground.)
I don't like my eyes being purple.
(His
eyes change to a dull gold glow)
Better.
JACK WALKER
What?... Riyal did...
RIYAL
Yes I did! Do you think?...
JACK WALKER
Maybe! There is only one way to find out.
Querela furta!
JACOB CAGE
I... Understood that, and know what it
meant.
JACK WALKER
It is true.
RIYAL
Yes! Only a grand high elder can change his
appearance. Do you think?.....
Jacob stands more confidently. He looks out
onto the street. He surveys the people still running madly. But differently
than before.
JACOB CAGE
I... feel different...Somehow I no longer
look, upon the people as people. To me they feel like...strangers.
JACK WALKER
It must be happening. But so quickly...
From out of nowhere we see nicks black
limousine screech to a halt. Men in suits rush in and surround Jacob weapons
drawn. Nick casually walks up to Jacob, with Jennifer in tow.
NICK SAMSON
What are the odds I would find you here.
Talking to yourself? As I told you Jennifer, he has lost his mind.
JACOB CAGE
You turned me in didn't you Jennifer?
(Jennifer,
stays silent, and looks at him feeling guilty.)
NICK SAMSON
Everyone has there breaking point. It was
merely, a matter of time. Take her to the car.
MAN 1
Yes sir.
(The
man grabs her and leads her to the car.)
NICK SAMSON
To business. I'm giving you the
opportunity. To come with me freely. Otherwise we can do, this the hard way.
JACOB CAGE
Never!
Nick pulls out a gun and turns. He shoots
Jennifer in the arm, she slumps to the ground. Jacobs eyes flash with fury he
fires an energy blast at nick who flies through the air and lands heavily and
is knocked unconscious. He goes to Jennifer he places his hand gently on her
wound, a dull gold glow emanates from his hand. The bullet is sucked out and
her wound heals instantly.
JENNIFER SWANSON
How?...
JACOB CAGE

End of scene 9
SCENE 10:WHEN ONE IS CALLED....
Apartment:(Early Morning)
Fade in.
We see Jennifer and Jacob in her apartment,
she is sleeping soundly, Jacob is standing at the window watching the busy
streets. From time to time he looks over at Jennifer, and smiles. Jennifer
stirs, and he rushes to her. She slowly wakes up and he smiles at her gently.
She shudders involuntary at his glowing eyes
JACOB CAGE
How do you feel?
JENNIFER SWANSON
I'm...ok! What happened? Was I...dreaming?
JACOB CAGE
No you weren't dreaming. You were shot, but
I healed you.
JENNIFER SWANSON
How?
JACOB CAGE
I... don't know how, but it felt natural.
JENNIFER SWANSON
Your eyes are giving me the creeps.
JACOB CAGE

(Jacobs
eyes change to normal)

(The
door bell rings)

Jacob walks to the door then presses a
button. The door Slides open, Joseph walks in smiles at Jennifer and Jacob then
sits.
JOSEPH BECKER
Man! You are one guy, that' hard to track
down. I've been looking for you everywhere. NEI is looking for you. I don't
know what you did, but you've really pissed them off!
JACOB CAGE
They forced me into doing this. Ever since
riyal, bonded with me. I trust him. What he has told me and, I have seen of
pryius. And what he's done he must be stopped...No matter what....
RIYAL
Joseph! Jennifer! Jacob is right! We must
stop pryius. I sense he is, growing stronger but slowly. If we don't intervene
pryius will become unstoppable. We must act now before....
A large explosion erupts out of nowhere and
we hear pryius laughing madly. Jacob rushes to the window. We see Pryius firing
at random buildings.
PRYIUS (SHOUTING)
SHOW YOURSELF WEAKLING!! ARE YOU TOO
SCARED, TO FACE ME? YOU PATHETIC INSIGNIFICANT HUMAN!!
JOSEPH BECKER

Jacob disappears in a bright gold light.

City Streets:(Afternoon)
Jacob reappears and runs to meet pryius,
who spies him from afar. He flies to meet him and they both meet in the middle
of the street.
PRYIUS
The coward shows himself.
JACOB CAGE
I'm no cowered! I'm here to stop you!
PRYIUS (CACKLES LOUDLY)
You humans are truly entertaining. As I
said before, you are no match for me...yet! The power you wield is nothing.
Once you have reached your... potential. Which I doubt you will. Then and only
then, you may face me in battle.
JACOB CAGE
But I can stop you!
Jacob rises into the air and stops and
hovers. He glares at pryius who uneasily floats backwards. Jacobs eyes and
hands grow brightly. Pryius shields his eyes. From nowhere, a ground trembling
quake is heard. Pryius is scared, but doesn't show it. Jacob slowly raises his
right arm at pryius. a large energy bolt erupts from Jacob's open hand. It hits
pryius hard. He spasms and then explodes into tiny shards of light. At the same
time we hear Pryius's scream of defiance. Jacob breathes hard and floats back
down to the ground and the ground trembling quake stops.
RIYAL
What did you just do to him.
JACOB CAGE
Banished him to the desert. I hope the seal
on, the conduit I opened holds.
RIYAL
Your powers are growing quickly my friend.
I am...impressed. But how long can you keep him...contained? He is like
a....caged animal. He will do anything to escape.
JACOB CAGE
I know that! Like I said I don't know.
I...we have to seek out the, temple of the Ascended Ones. But only the council
knows where it is.
RIYAL (SHOCKED)
How did you know about the temple. I have
some knowledge yes. But it is not accurate. Let us ask the council.
Fade to black
White flash in
Desert:(Unknown Time)
We see we are in the desert.Pryius is lying
unconscious, he stirs and quickly gets up. He sways uneasily and grips his head
and shakes off the cobwebs in his mind, at the same time he regains his
balance. He looks at his surroundings angrily.
PRYIUS
YOU CANT KEEP ME PRISONER HERE! I WILL
ESCAPE!!
He waits for a reply but all he hears is
the echo of his own defiance all around him.
PRYIUS
Am I dead?.... No! It can't be possible! A
mere human is no match for me. I must find a way out.
Cut to int. Temple
Temple:(Unknown Time)
Jacob is talking to Roselle and the other
elders. They are shocked what Jacob tells them. Roselle dismisses the other
elders.
GRAND ELDER ROSELLE
I am...surprised you know about the temple
Jacob. What lies within is a power. Far greater than, you can possibly imagine.
I know your thoughts! (laughs) As you wish! But be careful!
Roselle turns he waves his hand over the
chair. It disappears suddenly. At the same time from nowhere torches are lit
and the entrance to the temple is revealed. Roselle walks over to the entrance.
He places his cloven hand on the door. And says some sort of prayer. From out
of nowhere a booming voice is heard.
VOICE
WHO DARES TO ENTER, THIS SACRED PLACE?
GRAND ELDER ROSELLE
This human!
VOICE
A HUMAN? SACRILEGE!
GRAND ELDER ROSELLE
I implore you ascended one! Pryius has
risen again. And is more powerful than before.
VOICE
SO BE IT! HEED THY WARNING, IF HE FAILS HE
DIES.
The temple door slides slowly open Jacob walks
slowly to the temple entrance. He is stopped halfway by Roselle who places his
hand on him. A blurred image is seen and he his shocked of what he sees. Jacob
looks at him concerned, then smiles and continues to the temple, and when he is
inside the door snaps shut.

End of scene 10
SCENE 11:ASCENSION
Fade in
Sacred Temple:(Unknown Time)
We see we are inside the temple Jacob is
standing on a ceremonial platform. He is studying his surroundings carefully.
From out of nowhere a blue light shines brightly he shields his eyes from the
glare, the light touches the ground, and reveals an ascended being, who has
taken human form.
ASCENDED ONE
Greetings...the human known, as Jacob. I
am....
JACOB CAGE
I know who you are!
(Bows
respectively)
ASCENDED ONE
Such courteousness! You do not need to, bow
to me O great one. I can read your thoughts. We know of pryius and we are all
in agreement. He must be stopped.
JACOB CAGE
I need to know if you can help me and
riyal. We asked the council, but they are unwilling.
ASCENDED ONE
Preservation of the council out weighs. The need for help. This has been,
that way for the council. For many generations. But we can help... The Light!
JACOB CAGE

RIYAL
The light is the ascended ones way. Of
proving your worth. But I think... It does not matter!
JACOB CAGE

Jacob steps towards the light but
cautiously. As soon as he steps into the light it glows brighter. Moments pass
as he goes limp. As if he is in a trance. Suddenly he snaps out of the trance,
his eyes glow bright blue. The light fades, and he gracefully touches the
ground.
JACOB CAGE
Mom.... Dad... How could you!
ASCENDED ONE
They had no choice! They had to hide the
truth from you.
JACOB CAGE
I know everything, but want to hear it from
them.
ASCENDED ONE
That will not do you any good. They are as
you humans put it... in a home!
JACOB CAGE

Care Home:(Dusk)
We see Jacob appear outside the care home.
He looks around him then enters the home. He walks through the reception area
to the room where his parents are sitting, but he stops, turns around and
changes his eyes to normal. A nurse comes up to him.
NURSE
Hi Jacob! How are you?
JACOB CAGE
I'm good! How are my...mom and dad?
NURSE
There having one, of there good days. Try

JACOB CAGE
Yeah! I know.
Jacob walks slowly and cautiously towards
his parents. He looks on them, as if they were strangers.
JACOB CAGE
Mom? Dad?
MARTIN CAGE
Do I know you?
MARIE CAGE
Who is that martin?
MARTIN CAGE
I... don't know! What is it you want?
(Jacobs
eyes flash briefly)
JACOB CAGE
It appears to everyone around us, we are
talking. But I have temporarily restored your minds.
MARTIN CAGE

MARIE CAGE

JACOB CAGE
Spare me the theatricals! I know
everything! Why didn't you tell me?
MARTIN CAGE

MARIE CAGE

(The
ground shakes violently)

JACOB CAGE
Fragments... Lying in my fathers arms,
then... lying in a cradle. That's all I remember...for now.
MARIE CAGE
Even though we know, you weren't our son!

(Her
eyes well up with tears.)
MARTIN CAGE
Yes! We were unable, to have children...
you were a blessing.
JACOB CAGE
You have done well... I mean... You have
raised me knowing I wasn't your son. I cant thank you enough, for what you have
done for me. But now I look, upon you as strangers... Farewell....
(His
eyes flash briefly)
MARTIN CAGE
What's going on? Can I help you son?
JACOB CAGE
No! Thought you were.... Someone else...
Jacob turns around and begins to walk away
he turns back briefly to his "foster" parents tears begin to well up
in his eyes. He walks towards the exit but darts into the nearby toilet. He
mentally scans the room, then disappears
in a gold light.

Temple:(Unknown Time)
We see we are back in the temple, Roselle
and the other elders are there talking with ascended one. We see a gold light
and Jacob reappears.
GRAND ELDER ROSELLE
Ah! Good timing! I have some grave news.
JACOB CAGE
What?
GRAND ELDER ROSELLE
He has taken Jennifer nick, and Joseph
hostage. I'm sorry.
JACOB CAGE
We'll deal with....
(He
sways uneasily)
Riyal is sick! Being a symbiont for a long
time. Has weakened him. That will not do! Don't worry old friend I'll help
you...
Jacob instantly transforms into his other
self. He fly's up high into the air, he draws riyal into his hand which glows
blue then purple every three seconds. He pulls his hand back in concentration,
and fires a huge bolt of energy. A bright light envelopes everyone it quickly
dissipates. We see a impressive looking alien, standing IN front of everyone.
Suddenly Jacob changes back into his human form, and falls rapidly to the
ground and smacks down hard, the ground shakes loud and violently. They all
rush over to him, he slowly and uneasily gets back up.
JACOB CAGE
Did it?...
RIYAL
Yes it did old friend. I am reborn, thank
you.
JACOB CAGE
Its time to end it... Now!
(His
eyes flash briefly)

END OF SCENE 11
FINAL SCENE:DOWNFALL
City Streets:(Day)
Fade in from black
We see the city is in ruins, buildings are
partially destroyed and on fire. Cars ambulances, fire engines police cars,
tanks are strewn about the street also on fire. People are still running
wildly., We hear pryius laughing madly. Firing at random buildings. We see a
gold flash, and riyal and Jacob appear, riyal is in human form. It is raining.
JACOB CAGE
My god! The city!
RIYAL
Yes! It appears even your army couldn't
stop him.
JACOB CAGE
What about....
RIYAL
They are safe but, he has them chained up.
Like animals.
(Jacob
tightens his fists)
JACOB CAGE
We've got to stop him destroying the whole
city. I sense he has cornered, what's left of the army. Which is not much.
RIYAL
Yes! They have called in reinforcements,
but it will take a while for them to get here.
JACOB CAGE
I've got to try and reason with him. At
least the human part. I can sense the host within him. I can barely tell them
apart. They have bonded together but... its like, there drifting apart then
back together. Wait...
RIYAL
What is it?
JACOB CAGE
Pryius... is afraid of.... The hunter?
RIYAL
Ah! The hunter is a being from, the
timeless prison. Where pryius was banished and where you sent him. What you
thought, was the desert was in fact the prison. But you weren't strong enough
to contain him.
(A
blue flash is seen and Jacob's appearance has changed. He is taller more
muscular and wearing leather trousers and jacket and a scarf wrapped round his
nose and mouth and his voice his more deeper.)
RIYAL
You...
JACOB CAGE
Yes! This maybe the only advantage we have
to reason with him... Ah! He senses me good! You rescue what's, left of the
army personnel and I'll see to Nick, Joseph and Jennifer. Then I'll see to
pryius, you go to the temple.
RIYAL
But you cant...
JACOB CAGE
I have to try! We've hidden away while he's
been, destroying the city. If I don't make it... You have been a good friend to
me....
RIYAL
Let's not get sentimental we have a job to
do. Lets go kick some ass! (smiles)
PRYIUS
Any moment he'll show.
(Turns
to his hostages)

energy blast catches pryius off guard, he turns. He's shocked at what he
sees.
PRYIUS

JACOB CAGE
Yes, me! Glad to see me again old friend. I
have a proposition for you. Let these humans go and I'll give you the one
person, you want to kill more than anything.
PRYIUS
What if I refuse?
JACOB CAGE
Then I'll kill the body you're in. And take
you back, to the place you hate.
PRYIUS

(A
dull purple flash is seen)
Now! I want what is rightfully mine!
JACOB CAGE
(Coughs) Aren't you forgetting?...
(Nods
to the army personnel)

what happens.
PRYIUS

wish.
(A
dull purple flash is seen)

A bright gold flash is seen and Jacob
reveals himself.
JACOB CAGE

PRYIUS

JACOB CAGE

PRYIUS
YOU DECEIVED ME, I WILL MAKE YOU PAY FOR
THAT!
JACOB CAGE
No pryius! It will be me that will make you
pay. What you've done is...unforgiveable. And I know its been you... watching.
You have a choice go, to the prison willingly. Or be... destroyed.
PRYIUS
Ha! You don't have what, it takes to
destroy me human. You may have gained some power. But it won't be enough to
destroy me. Face it...Jacob! You're nothing more, than a sniffling little
coward. (Cackles)
Jacob hits pryius with an energy bolt.
JACOB CAGE
I'm no cowered...Pryius! You may not know
it yet but, I have gained A lot more power than you think. I am much more than
I was. I'll ask one more time...
PRYIUS
NEVER WILL I SUBMIT!! ANY ONE WHO FORCES ME
TO WILL BE DESTROYED! YOU! JACOB WILL NOT STAND IN MY WAY. STAND ASIDE OR

Jacob fires an energy blast at pryius who
dodges and returns in kind. It hits Jacob hard and he flies into a nearby
building. He gets back up uneasily and files straight at pryius. Riyal returns
and looks upward in shock. Pryius and Jacob exchange blows getting faster.
Until there punches are just a blur. Moments pass as they try to get the upper
hand. Jacob stops in mid air, and gives him a "You asked for this
Look".Jacob summons all his power and channels it into his hands which
glow bright. The ground shakes violently. Several moments pass then Jacob
fires. The energy bolt hits pryius fast, and hard. So hard he goes flying into
a nearby building, and slides down to the ground. Jacob floats to the ground
breathing hard. He walks past riyal and winks. They both go to where pryius is
lying. He is breathing, but barely.
PRYIUS (WEAKLY)
You think... you have... won. I will...
never submit....
His body goes limp then a ghost-like
figure, dark purple in colour floats out the body.
PRYIUS
You can't kill me. You may have killed, the
body I inhabited. But my essence still lives... what?! Why cant I leave, this pathetic useless
carcass?
RIYAL
You have been inside that body too long
pryius. So now you must die with it. You should have known, the body and mind are one. And cant live
without each other...
Pryius's essence fades into thin air
PRYIUS
NOOOOOOOOOO!!
JACOB CAGE
I need a vacation!
RIYAL

JACOB CAGE

(laughs)
RIYAL
