Dates Required: January 2018

Production: Step in Time

Magpie Performers are looking for a Musical Director for our 2018 Summer production, 'Step in Time'
'Step in Time' is an all singing, all dancing production which follows the events of history using some of the most well loved songs from WestEnd productions, including but not limited to, Les Miserables, Bugsy Malone, Annie, Hairspray and the new but ever popular Hamilton.
Our group boasts about it's inclusivity, having members ranging from 9 years old up, of all genders and a few members with varying disabilities. Our group is proud to support people of all walks of life and to help them achieve something great either working on or off the stage.
We are looking for a Musical Director that is confident in teaching groups of people of varying ages, and leading specific dance rehearsals. Experience in teaching music would be nice but not an essential, just a knowledge of music is okay with examples of work.
Rehearsals for our production take place every Tuesday in Ipswich. The show dates themselves have not been officially confirmed, however will either be at the end of June or during July.
As a non-profit group we do not pay our team and everything is done through volunteering, so we are looking for a Musical Director who is willing to donate their time free of charge.
We need this role filled by January 2018.

Contact: If interested in this role please contact Bridie at with information about yourself and examples of any experience you may have relating to this role.

official web - for testimonial from both students and colleagues, and my blog on singing, music etc.”

"For many years I have admired Idit as both a singer and a teacher of singing: she brings to all her musicmaking a lively professionalism and integrity, coupled with the gift of communication which inspires others to aspire to the same high standards. I have witnessed her in action as a teacher and have seen how quickly she can achieve positive results with committed students by pinpointing the specific areas of development relevant to each individual singer – the singers themselves are frequently surprised at the speed of their progress under Idit’s tuition.

I enthusiastically recommend Idit as an exceptional teacher who commands international respect."

Morella - a gothic opera

Contact Jack Smith
I'm Jack Smith - the composer of the musical opera, and myself and my lyricist - Lesley - produced a show as part of Macclesfield's Barnaby Arts Festival back in June 2014. It was a huge success - it was a sellout and received a standing ovation.
Now we're looking to expand further - encourage more people to get on board and work towards a full production. Please assist us in getting a complete team of vocalists, instrumentalists and anybody wanting to help us theatrically, be that production, backstage, sound etc.
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Should you wish for me to post a flyer to you instead then please just let me know.
Thanks for your time

Matthew Hartshorn

Looking for any part-time positions you might know's available: I was born in England, bred in the Turks and Caicos Islands, spent the past year in Mauritius hosting, producing and writing for what became the most listened to show on Rock Mauritius, and now I'm in Liverpool studying audio production with an emphasis on Sound Design/Foley/Illusions; to make a long story short.
It's taken a few weeks to get settled in, but now I'm there or thereabouts, it's high time that I immerse myself in my chosen, soon to be profession, and live theatre looks just the right place to start.
